Someone gave me this advice and it has been really helpful to me:

"Tell yourself you can have it tomorrow. If you really want something, give yourself permission to have it tomorrow. Then when tomorrow arrives, tell yourself the same thing. If I really want it, I can have it tomorrow."

Basically you're learning delayed gratification and "tomorrow" never really arrives

Congratulations on not giving in to that little voice. It speaks to me, too! Lately, I remind myself of how rotten I would feel after eating whatever food I was craving (I never used to eat one portion of anything). It makes me not want it as much. I like the way I feel now--not bloated, distended and ultimately angry with myself.

Mozzy is right. The thing you are craving will be there tomorrow if you really want it. Its not going to Disappear/get bought out/out of stock. Its there and if it still calls you remind yourself of that. That lets you know that its still available when you Really want it (Little Voice gets complete control). Just tell that little voice that YOU are in control and not IT and you will decide when you will fulfill the craving. Kinda gets you more power!

1. Meal Planning- When I have a plan I can be really fixated on that. When you write it down, you've kinda ingrained in your brain what you're gonna eat that day.
2. Paint your nails- I'm big on painting my nails. Now, I do it while watching TV during times I would usually snack. You can't eat with wet nail polish!
