Default Anyone NOT feel hungry on their period?

Or is just me? I have absolutely no cravings either. I tend to just feel sick to my stomach and anxious. I typically just drink a few meal replacement shakes to get some calories in. Anyone experience this? What do you eat?

I'm with you! Even during my "binge for every meal" days, once my period hit I was in too much pain to have any desire to eat. I don't think I could distinguish the pain from my cramps to the pain of hunger. I think that might have had something to do with the endomitriosis I was diagnosed with a couple years ago. Certainly makes sense to me, extra cells in that cavity, pressing on the stomach? I dunno. But I hear ya for sure!

Phew at least I know there are others who experience the similar feelings.
Do you ladies just drink liquids or do you try to get in some solid food?

Solid foods...I just end up eating a little less(about 300 calories less a day)...Makes up for my over-eating a few days before, and my workouts would be downright painful if I had no energy, so I just force myself to eat...

I hardly remember what its like to have a period (its been over a year, pregnancy then nursing), but I'm pretty sure I just ate like normal during mine. Well, I did used it as an excuse to eat extra chocolate, but my appetite was unaffected either way.

Well, my *husband* doesn't seem to feel hungry on my period....

More seriously, I do tend to see an increase in cravings during the luteal phase of my cycle, but when I am well supplemented, exercising, and eating a suitable diet for my body, the symptoms are MUCH more manageable for me. Environmental stress or suboptimal nutrition can really exacerbate my symptoms which would otherwise be minimal or non-existent.

Nothing either for me. I never experienced cravings/extra hunger, nor PMS. Before I went on the pill, I had heavy cramps during the first two days of my period, so it didn't do much to increase my appetite, for sure. The cramps went away with the pill, but no cravings or whatever appeared.
Counting my blessings here, I guess. ^^;

Actually all of them excluding my last one I have a nausea that begins one day before and lasts about the first 2 days. It is quite weird. I was a mess in the last one, all I wanted was 'foood'. Ugh and here it comes again.

My periods themselves are very mild (light flow for 5 days, no cramps) but I get really hungry between ovulation and end of menstruation and feel like a wild animal. Last month my period was 2 weeks late and the "hangry (hungry + angry) pre-bleedin' beast" was in town for almost a whole month. Ugh!

I lose my appetite then, but the time after ovulation I have an increased appetite.

This does not apply when I am taking the pill (now). My appetite is more the same most days.
