Default Up, down, all around- what the **** is happening!?

I am having one of those "to **** with it" days. I have to push ahead, and I need some encouragement.

Right now I feel like everything I've done for the past 2 months is in vain. My scale broke and now I don't use it anymore, after the fiasco where it told me I gained 10lbs then took it all back, and I freaked out. Ever since then, I feel that my progress stopped. I eat small portions (as some of you noticed from the Daily Accountability thread), I work out every single day and really push myself.

I feel like nothing is happening to my body anymore. Last time I felt like it was really good was about 2.5 weeks ago, and since then, no change.

What should I do? I already eat little, work out a lot, but still....doesn't seem to be enough. Am I expecting too much too soon???

I think my bad mood is due to my stupid period coming soon (I can feel it!), but right now, seeing that 140 on the scale seems like a long, long road ahead.....

from past experience i learned.... the harder you work out... the MORE you need to eat. If you work out hard and dont eat enough your body gets in Starvation mode and holds on to every little thing.... you need to feed your body so that it has the energy to speed up your metabolism, and therefor, you will lose weight.... i always made sure to eat a lot of lean protein when i was really working out hard, one it help build lean muscle which helped burn more calories and it also made me full!! I hope this helps!!!

Do you know how many calories you're consuming and expending each day, and what the healthy net calorie consumption range for weight loss is for you?

Fork out $30 bucks and go buy a decent new scale at Wal-mart. Weigh yourself and start from there. Count your calories and keep doing what you are doing. If you are not gaining, then what you are doing now is working. Just don't give up.

Oh, and if you don't have a little extra cash laying around, use the neighbors, or your bf, or parents scale. Somewhere there is a accurate scale you can use once a week or so.

My usual food day is 250 calories for breakfast, 500 calories for lunch and 250 calories for dinner. I allow myself three 100 calorie snacks during the day. On an average day, I run about 4K or I do Slim in 6 (Level 3, 59min or aerobics/strength).

My only problem is not consuming enough water.

I think I'll go to my walk-in clinic next week after my period is over and weigh myself again. I actually might consider finding something that measures body fat percentage because my body tends to gain muscle mass very easily, and sometimes I find the scale unreliable in that way. I should however know my range, which should be in the 140-150 region, and not in the 160-170 region where it seems to be now.

My scale does body fat, weight and water. It doesn't matter so much as how accurate these percentages are - but how they trends in my opinion.

I have had times in which the weight isn't moving but the body fat is (or even the water is) and I have learned a lot about how things can vary.

PS. Yes, wait until past your period - especially if you are already frustrated.
