Default Sick Today

I woke up this morning with a stomach virus or somthing I threw up and I wasn't able to go to school or work. I will not be eating much at all today. It is already 5pm and I haven't eaten anything today except giner ale. I think it had to do with all the salads I have been eating lately because they contain a lot of water.

Salad should not make you sick like that. I don't understand how you are making that connection unless your vegetables were spoiled. o.O

I think I said that wrong. I know that the salad did not cause me to get sick. I meant that it added to it. Just because high fiber foods are bad when you have a stomach problem.

This must be a bad flu year. I woke up a few days ago to vomiting and an extremely high fever (103-104). The fever has gone down to about 102, but the vomiting persists.. I haven't been sick like this since grade school, and I'm a freshman in college right now.

Hey, even though being sick SUCKS, one thing that is kinda cool is that you will probably lose a bit more than usual because of the reduced eating. One word of advice though- don't get ecstatic if you see a 10lb drop in just a a day or two- that is due to dehydration and water weight. As soon as you get healthy you will gain most of it back. Made that mistake myself... Was very disapointed. : (

also try to get some broth down, you will need the extra slat to feel better. Just a few sips at a time.

Hope your feeling better soon!

BRAT--bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. Foods that are easy on the stomach. Take it easy until you feel better and drink lots and lots of fluids!

It is nearly 3am. I feel like crap. I am not throwing up, but I am feverish, and I am hacking up a lung every 10 minutes or so (I do NOT smoke) I can't lay down, because I start coughing. Looks like it is going to be a great weekend! I am not throwing up, yet, but I have other gastric worries.

Jolamool, abstractSilver - Get lots of rest and feel better!
