Default 5'-5" in your early 30's, what's your goal weight?

A previous post got me wondering how my goal weight compares to others my size. I think my goal is 138 or an 8/10, but I'm really not sure. I haven't been that size since I was 18 and I don't know if 1. It's possible to reach, 2. Will be enough, or 3. Maybe it will be too much. I'm getting pretty comfortable, I'm about a 12/14 right now and I'm wondering what a 10/12 will feel like, maybe it will be enough. Right now I can see several areas that are getting saggy and I'd like to see if I can tighten those up and there are several areas that I think just need to be smaller. But I feel like I'm starting to reach that zone of maitenance and I'm not sure where to stop. Obviously I know I should stop wherever I'm comfortable, but it's still interesting to compare to others.

I am 5'5" like you and also wear a size 14. I currently weigh 205. My goal weight is 160 because I don't think I could actually get lower than that and according to my calculations 160 lbs. would be around a size 8.

150 on paper, mostly because I started at 300 and it makes all the math so smooth. In reality, I want to do IVF this fall and as long as my BMI is under 30 (179), I'll have the same chance of success as anyone else. That's my first priority.

So basically, as long as I am under 180 in September, I'll be happy. Hopefully my weight will be back up for a while after that. After that? We will see.

I'm not 30 yet, but getting close. I currently weigh 205 and wear a size 18.

My goal weight is 135. I weighed that much a little over two years ago and was a size 8. I was pretty happy at that weight and think it's maintainable. I would ultimately like to get down to 125 and a solid size 6, but if I don't..I'll still be happy to be 135!

In a very very short month I will turn 29+2 I'm 5'4" and I'm in a 12-14. My goal is to get down to a size 8. Now I don't think I've been an 8 since early high school, but that's my ultimate goal.

I am 5'5" and i turn 30 in September. Right now i am at 186. My goal weight is currently 145 lbs.

My lowest as an adult was 135, but i just don't see me getting that small again. Plus, i would really like to have some muscle so I will be a little heavier.

I will weigh in here, even though I'm 5 feet 5.5 inches! lol.

My goal weight is 135 lb, but will aim for around 125-130 lb if I can. That should be about size 7/8.

My goal is 125 pounds and TONED! That is actually the most important part. I have weighed 125 in my adult life, but I wasn't in shape then.

So in shape and toned may trump the final scale number. I would like to be in size 6 once in my life though, you know, for the experience.

I'm 5' 5.5", and my goal is between 135-140. The last time I reached that goal, I actually surpassed it (132) with a terrible bout of flu. I remembering finally feeling better and then going to my WW meeting, where my leader was all "...whoa!" Now, the flu part, I do not recommend. But I think mid 130s for that height is fine. It wasn't that hard to maintain (says she who is now 10-15 lbs over that), if you stick to your healthy eating and exercising. It varies for each person, and what they are willing to do (i.e. work out several times a week or not, eat clean all or most of the time, or not), but I feel like our bodies know what a healthy weight is. Some people who have a goal of 120 or something along those lines may find it really hard to stay there, because their body isn't okay at that weight. Or if someone has a goal of 140 and finds it relatively easy to keep going and lose more, that's unexpected too. I think goal weights are great for being just that - a goal. And if the goal needs to be adjusted, either way, that's just part of the weight loss journey, no?

I'm 5'5" and my goal is 144. It will put me on the upper end of a normal BMI, but I'll be in the normal range. It's also exactly half my starting weight.

I might adjust my goal downward once I reach it and see how I look, but I think it's a pretty good goal for me. Right now (at 171) I'm a size 10/12, so after another 30 pounds I'm guessing I'll be around a size 8. I'm happy with that.

This is just a really, really rought estimate but it seems to work for me and most people, and that's 100 pounds for five feet plus five pounds for every inch over that. The best way to determine a good weight is actually using your body fat, not the weight on the scale. Anything below 30 percentage is considered acceptable for most women. Do you know what your body fat is?

I'm a smidge under 5'5" and in my 40s not 30s but I'm already at your goal clothes size 8/10 (I need a 10 only in pants as I have a large behind) and incredibly I weigh 25lbs above your goal weight. I've always been 20lbs heavier than anyone else I know at the same size as me and I'm of small/average build.

My goal weight is 150 at the moment though I've been thinking of changing it to 140 for a long time. I'm a big build so not confident I can get any lower than 150. The lowesr weight I remember beign is 154lb. I'm a UK 18 at the moment, just startign to get into some UK 16's. I'd be very very happy to be a comfortable UK 14, but will settle for a 16 if my body wont' shrink that much.

I'm only 5'4, but i am 31, and I can tell you right now my goal weight is between 150-160. I'm currently 193. I have not been anywhere close to those weights in prob 18 years. I know I was over 200 ( or close to it ) when I got my drivers lic. I will reavaluate once I get between 150-160 and see what size I wear and what I look like, and feel like.
