I worked with a trainer the beginning of this year for about 10 sessions, once a week. I'm really glad I did it, he showed me how to do new exercises and how to use certain equipment. He pushed me harder than I would have pushed myself too. I think you'll really enjoy it and learn a bunch along the way. I'm very happy I decided to try out a trainer, I'd do it again. Mine still chats me up from time to time and give me tips as well.

Go for the trainer if you can. It's a great way to get motivated and to push yourself farther than you would on your own. Also, a good trainer will make sure you don't injure yourself. It's a worthwhile investment. Just be careful, because not all trainers are good...some are downright horrible. Well done for working out though! Getting started is the hardest part. I always go, even if I don't feel like it and then, I just lie to myself that I'll only do 20 minutes and then, it goes to 40 and then, I figure 20 more and I'm done, right?

I've never even stepped foot in a gym so I have no answers for that but wanted to wish you the best of luck with it
