Your post me smile.
Yes, it will take literally BUCKETS of sweat - but don't give up. You will get so much more out of exercise, not only lost pounds. So kudos to you for starting. Hang in there!!!
Oh, and welcome.
Ha yeah that is how it seems to be with me whenever I decide that I am going to start working out. I always forget how hard it is at first. I think that exercise is probably one of the hardest parts of trying to lose weight, but one of the most rewarding. Not only will you look good but you will feel great!
This post really made me laugh -- I actually used to tell my family I didn't sweat like everyone else. Yeah, right. I just wasn't working that hard! What a difference focus and hard work have made...
I'm just coming to the conclusion that yes, I'll have to sweat. I lost loads of weight without breaking into a sweat and only doing light exercise. In April I took up regular exercise using the Wii Fit but I did worry that I was only 'lightly glowing' even after an hour. So I've bought EA Sports Active and boy does that make me sweat (and ache!). But having reached nearly a standstill with the weightloss, its what I need to do to get the last pounds off - I really hopes it works or the sweating will have been in vein.
Haha, i once took a bellydance class and the teacher said if the fat on your butt wasn't jiggling, you weren't doing it right- same thing with weightloss- just have to jiggle the flab right off! Way to go!!
I would love to take a belly dancing class! I wish we had them around here... Even though that would probably be dangerous, my belly would take someone out!
*sigh* Heading to the gym *drags feet* I dun wanna! *groan, but gets up and heads out*
So, I take it that since you are extremely sore that you pt session went well? Congrats on getting day one finished! You won't always feel like you wanna die. I am thinking of signing up for some personal trainer sessions as well, but am nervous about the price....
It's just a way to force my ideas of self-greatness onto family and friends. They need to know how awesomesauce I am! Right?! Right.
Welcome to 3FC Katie! As for letting everyone know how awesome you are, just tell them. Frequently. Every time I lose .2 on the scale or go to the gym I tell my roommate how astoundingly awesome I am and it makes him laugh. He says there's nothing wrong with my ego.
