I guess everyone's diet is different. Chickpeas are considered a veggie on my diet and I COULD eat 3 cans of them if I wanted. LOL...I don't think I own any Beano though, so I would never do that.
Good protein, and good fats too. Never eliminate something so natural as beans!
I worked at Whole Foods Market...they have some good hummus too....not as good as Trader Joes, but still good.
Like I said, you can always look up recipes on the internet...watch the ingredients and stay away from the ones with Tahini.
