Study finds even minimal fitness can stave off death
Today's edition of All Things Considered on NPR had a story about a study of "older" adults looking to see if fitness levels had any correlation with longevity. Interesting.
A new study finds that fitness predicts longevity better that fatness. Researchers tracked the exercise and death rates of adults older than 60. They found fewer deaths among those who achieved even minimal levels of fitness -- even if they were overweight.
