Default What's in YOUR pantry?

Alright everyone!!!

What's in your pantry??

What are your staples that are healthy and keep you on track??

Don't be afraid to share

Mine are various beans (generally chickpeas, black peans etc.), whole grain pastas, and canned veggies (quick to add with those canned beans and different spices to make amazing/quick dinners)!

So what are yours??

OT question... when you went "vegan" did you lose weight quicker? Or have you always been vegan?.

I love a well-stocked pantry. Makes it was easier to stay on track! What I can think of being in there -

Canned:
-tomatoes
-beans of various kinds
-corn and green beans
-a couple of soups
-diced green chiles
-light coconut milk

Grains:
-quinoa (red and brown)
-rice (brown and basmati)
-barley
-polenta/corn grits
-wheat berries
-Oatmeal (rolled and steel-cut)

Other:
-Dried beans of various kinds
-A couple of prepared meals for quick dinners (vegan of course)
-Pasta of various kinds
-tofu (mori-nu in the little shelf-stable cartons)
-almond milk
-vital wheat gluten
-nutritional yeast
-raw almonds and raw cashews

That's the bulk of it, from what I can think of... We're pretty full right now as we just went grocery shopping today!

For the question on weight loss, I used to be a more liberal vegetarian and it was so easy to eat too much. Now I write down calories just to make sure but don't even come close to going over. I lost 70 pounds went I went veggie a couple years ago, over 10 months. This time It is falling off so fast I can't believe it!

My pantry!!

Brown Rice
Steelcut Oats
Rolled Oats
Kashi U cereal
Flax seed
Almond butter
Sugar free preserves

sprouted grain bread and buns (Ezekiel)

Canned mandarin oranges and pineapple, in juice over syrup, when I can find it

Assorted canned Organic beans
Pinto,Garbanzo, Black Beans, Red, Lentils, Split peas

TVP

Canned tomatoes, diced, crushed, paste (low salt usually)

Frozen Corn,Peas,Fruit (unsweetened strawberries, blueberries, mixed fruit), chopped peppers of assorted colors, chopped red onion, shredded carrots

Boca vegan burgers
Smart dogs
Firm tofu

Silk Light, regular, vanilla, Chocolate
Soy yogurt

Fresh Broccoli, carrots, romaine, Spinach, field greens, tomatoes, apples, pears, peaches, bananas, onions

Lots of herbs and spices, veggie broth, molasses, mustard, ketchup, fat free sugar free raspberry vinaigrette, husbands homemade salsa

I think that about covers it! When I lose more weight I'll start making myself some vegan cakes or something but I am better off not being addicted to eating that right now.
