Default Accountability - week commencing 20th February

My big challenge this week is going back to work, and not being entirely happy with how work has responded to my carpet allergy, sitting me a million miles away from my team, with people I don't know, who don't do my work.

I will NOT respond to this by overeating. I will go out and walk if I feel things getting to me, and I will go and see occupational health and lay a formal complaint if I am not happy. I won't be a victim.

I will go to the gym every night this week.

I will eat lots of veggies and enjoy my cooking again

What your weeks resolutions, and how can we help you stick to them?

I Like the sound of accountability!

I will do my planned exercise.

I will not mindlessley eat ANYTHING! I can eat it if it's planned or I make allowances- just the mindless bit to stop.

I will not jeopardise the time of my 13 mile walj on Sunday by going to the pub on Saturday night and having more than a glass of wine!

I will STAY AWAY from the junk food. Just because I'm feeling blue is no reason to eat crap!

I will get my fruit and veggies in every day

I will get back to my running again, even though it's blowing a gale (you never know, it might be behind me and speed me up!).

Push myself on the exercise bike at the gym. I love the treadmill and the cross trainer but Danny my trainer has put the bike on two weeks ago and I hate it

Just had a the most fantastic egg sarnie.

Hope your all well have a good week

I'm not really sure what accountability means. If its targets then
* I want to maintain or better my current walking levels
* I will do 30 mins minimum on the exercise bike every day

It's whatever you want it to be. Some people have a hard time reaching their food goals, others struggle with exercise, some people need a kick up the bum to do stuff, others (like me) need a kick up the bum to stop doing stuff!! And I thought it would be nice to have a little section to do that in rather than in the chat, it breaks into a good gossip!!!

I will run my half marathon on Sunday, and I will rest a little before then (harder than it sounds, I keep on feeling like I should be exercising!). Early in the week I'll go to the gym but not do too much, later in the week (especially Saturday) I will do nothing apart from possibly yoga/stretching.

I will also not eat as much chocolate for the rest of the week as I did today Today was not good. At all. But it is (finally) TOM so I will use that as an excuse

I will consider staying alcohol free until I finish the half marathon. Sunday afternoon will then be relaxation/celebration time, and that rule will be completely relaxed!

I Like accountability as you look at it and think-

Have gone a whole day without mindless eating

Have done my planned exercise

Cat obviously spotted that I'd been thinking about wine and started slurring! Walk has now changed from Sunday to Sat, which is not too bad as I'm driving on Friday night.

Yesterday was a good day for my walk to fitness
- I met my walking target and used the exercise bike for 45 mins which helped me deal with the day's annoyances. I'm trying to find what I've done with my rebounder. I haven't seen it for a couple of years - how on earth can you lose something that large??
- The food was unexpectedly okay in the end. Brekkie was porridge with fruit, seeds and a couple of crushed brazil nuts, lunch slipped my mind until gone 4pm so I just had loads of fruit. Dinner was AWT's spicy chicken (not great but okay) which I had with bulgar wheat, mixed salad leaves and a butterbean /tomato /red onion kind of salsa creation of my own (with chopped green chilli, fresh coriander, lime juice and garlic in it for flavour) - I just mixed it all together in a saucepan and warmed it through - it was VERY nice. Next time I might give the chicken a miss and just stick with a double helping of the butterbean creation! Supper was more fruit and a glass of milk. No problem with my fruit and veggie levels.

I think I'm going to add to my accountability goals and add in having sufficient fluids. I read recently that any fluids are okay as long as they don't contain alcohol or caffeine - I'm not a great one for drinking lots but I'll start with attempting 1.5 litres a day.

I went swimming this morning, and so far so good with the food, after a not terrible but far from perfect day yesterday.

I need to think about what I am eating all the time, and not just grab something because its convenient.

Oh and Sarah I like to swim in it, but I don't like to drink it! Water that is, or anything else really, I have to work really hard on getting my fluids up!

Today was a lot better. Only one small (planned) bar of Green and Blacks 70% and the rest has been completely angelic. A definite improvement
