Default Dukan anyone?

Has anyone tried the Dukan Diet?

I lost 5 lbs in 5 days (mainly water boviously) but I didn't put any back on. However it is not without its side effects.

Hi I'm on the South Beach Diet and have heard a lot about Dukan how does it work?

I've heard a lot of people talk about it.

Well done for dropping 5lbs by the way

Honey, that is an amazing weight loss. My congratulations!

Dukan is similar to Atkins but not so radical. Tough going but no hunger involved. basically a few days attack with protein, low fat dairy and oat bran and loads of water. The length of attack depends on the amount needing to be lost. The cruise, when you have one day as that and alternate days, wowee, you can have salad and certain veg. When you consolidate (that's when you ahve lost what you want) you can introduce other foods. However, you must always have 1 protein day a week for the rest of your life.

I am back on attack today having 'stalled' in loss. I'll see how it goes!!

Thanks Beverley, sounds good I would like to lose a little bit more and tone up for now, but I guess I'll stick to what I know.

Keep going hun

I am back on 2 days of attack after falling foul of lasagne and a glass of wine! Not Dukan at all, well not until consolidation.

Will have a look at south beach diet. Still trying to get a ticker. Can't seem to manage to do it.

Default Stalled on Dukan

I have stalled but appear to have lost! Have messed up somewhat with fruit and last night a curry. I should not have had the little rice I had nor the w/wheat pitta (weight watchers), but I did.

Anyone else had a problem with getting stuck?

Hiya hun

I get stuck sometimes but when you do just jump back on, try and follow the plan as much as you can, forgot to ask you what day do you weigh in mine is on a Sunday.

I'm on Dukan and I LOVE it!!!

I'm 2 days past my 1 month anniversary and down almost 17 lbs so far (I change my ticker on Sundays, that's why it doesn't match up). It's the easiest diet to stick with that I've ever tried - haven't gone off plan at all since I started. So I haven't had an issues with getting stuck yet. The stricter you stay on plan, the better the diet works. (that's in the book too).

re: the ticker, you have to be a member of 3FC for 20 days and have at least 20 posts during that time. once that happens, you'll have an option to edit your signature in the User CP.

I am on day 10 of the diet (7 days attack + 3 days cruise) and I have lost 16.2 pounds so far! Woohoo! And it isn't ALL water weight that you have lost. Up to half of it can be water weight, but the rest is fat! If you are having the bad breath side effect, that means you are losing fat! Yay!

I'm in the Attack phase at the moment. Not enjoying lack of everything except protein. but, im enjoying the scales saying im lighter!!

I think with Durkan, you just have to be very strict on yourself and have alot of willpower.
I was close to giving in to a piece of chocolate cake yesterday- i wanted it, but i didn't need it!!
