Hiya ladies,

Sue - we have a walk-in shower, too, with 2 seats in it. I love it, except for cleaning the darn track. Plus, there is a big soaker tub in the bathroom, too, and a TV, lol. Hope the mammo went well. Ouch! Plans for the weekend? Well, we invited our son's 2 kids to spend the night tonight and they'll be here tomorrow, too. Then Sunday is our church picnic, but if it's as hot then as it is now, I'm not going.

Marti - OIC about the computer. So did they get it put together?

Hi Norma!

Sassy - well, I guess men are just slobs, in general, huh? LOL I liked going to our YMCA to walk the treadmill, but they always had CNN on the TVs right there, and when Katrina happened, it depressed me to watch that over and over, so I quit going. Glad you got some rest.

Cristi - what show are you seeing today? One at the movies, or a different type? Have fun with your sweetie.

Well, we took Molly to the vet to get her toenails cut because she won't let us do it. The vet had to muzzle her, and she was mad as %$@@! The poor thing got so worked up, I thought she might stroke out! When we brought her home, I gave her a pinapple sugarfree popscicle, which helped her personality quite a bit. Funny - they help mine, too.

As I mentioned to Sue, I'll have Terry's kids today and tomorrow, just for the fun of it, so I probably won't check in until they're gone tomorrow.

Have a good one!

Good Morning Ladies!!

Individuals first:

Norma--I will have to poke around and check it out. That would be a neat little feature to have.

Sassy--James & I used to work out after work when we worked at Sony. We got off at 6:00 in the morning so it was early. I LOVED it. As odd as it seems....it really helped my body unwine from the long hectic day and I slept wonderfully!! Try it and see what you think.

Sue--James buying this computer means that Jhanai will have a computer! She already has one in her room, but it's so old that half the time it doesn't work. So he'll put this in her room and she can use it.

Cristi--I'm like you....my own room for MY junk and MY junk only would be fantastic!! I wouldn't mind overtaking a walk-in closet if I had one!! I may make a trip to Michaels this weekend. First it's "Back to School" shopping.

Jane--They got the computer all put together the night we got home at 2:30. I can tell a difference in speed. So I'm hoping, at least I've told James, that I don't have to go days w/out using the computer unless its by choice!

Hello and Good morning to the rest of ya!

I took two days off this weekend so it'll be a four day weekend for me. Wanted to have extra fun time w/Jhanai before school starts. So my time on the computer may be limited........unless I get up before everyone and get on the computer before we start our day.

So......I will check in when I can!

Hugs to all!!

Happy Saturday Chickies!

Not much going on...went to work out at IF, then to Hallmark to get a thank you card and some candles of course. Happened to see the Angel (Mary's Angels) ornament that they didn't have a while back (they ran out fast) so grabbed one. It is a series and I try to get the new one each year...they are so cute! There was supposed to be a special edition one also but I haven't seen it. Anyway...then it was off to meet V for lunch and finally home to do some cleaning and laundry which I haven't gotten to yet. Did get a load of laundry done but thought I would do my computer time before doing so.

JANE...hope you enjoy your time with the girls! We went to see Talledaga (sp?) Nights, the Ricky Bobby Story...it was funny, kind of stupid funny but we liked it. Molly sounds like our Ernie...I always muzzle him when he goes to the vet. When the vet starts feeling around...ummm, watch out!

MARTI...hope you enjoy your four day weekend with Jhanai! And have fun shopping. I keep forgetting she hasn't started school there yet. Also, enjoy your new computer!

SASSY...yeah, I'm thinking Monday I am calling the doc and making an appt. for my yearly and my arm...gotta see a specialist and she has to refer me. I just hate going. Have to though...I can barely hold my arm up high enough to fix my hair in a pony tail, and shaving under is the pits, no pun intended, lol. Next...the dentist! Why are you coughing? Hope all is all right with you. I know my stinking allergies are going crazy Really hate when my eyes and nose constantly run. Did take some tylenol severe allergy and it has helped.

Hi to everyone else, JULES, SUE, NORMA, MKAT, IFONLY, KATHY, MARYKATE...think I got everyone. I always seem to forget someone but it is not intentional.

Going to go check out a couple of sites and then get off this thing and get my cleaning done. Won't be on tomorrow...will be spending the day with V, rather half the day. He is going into to work at 2 but we are going to be working in the yard and the last touches on the pergola, which will take about 30 minutes if that.

Take care ladies and I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Hi ladies,

Marti - yay for you, taking extra days to spend with your Jhanai. Kids grow up so fast, I'm glad you get to spend extra time with her. Also a big YAY for the new computer.

Cristi - I'm not familiar with the movie you saw, but I'm glad you liked it. We may get a muzzle for Molly so we can cut her nails ourselves next time, so she doesn't get so upset. Enjoy your day with V tomorrow.

Hello to anyone reading this.

Ahh! The kids were very active today and I have to say I was glad to see their parents show up, lol. We had fun, though.

Neal and I are going to play cards in a little while. I beat him pretty bad last time, tee hee. But he usually beats me at Yahtzee.

Take care,

So Jane, did you win or lose at cards? What do you play? I am looking forward to moving so Mom and I can play cards. We used to play all the time and especially at night when we would go camping. Jerry and I play when we are with family, but not just the two of us.

Cristina, I hope you and V got your yard work and pergola work finished. Luckily DH got ours done earlier in the week since it rained last night and is going to rain again tomorrow.

Marti, Did you have a good time with Jhanai and James? I bet you are enjoying the time off.

I got the house ready to show Sat. and then we took off to DH's family for a visit. When we got home we could tell they had come to see the house...so I am anxious to hear about that.

Today we went for breakfast while our power was out. Don't know what caused that because the storms had been long over at that time. Drove to the new house and saw that the porch and sidewalk look great....of course, I had to go through the house for the umpteenth time..just because!

I cooked some chicken this afternoon and made chicken salad for tomorrow. Made stuffed peppers for our dinner. I had one with sliced tomatoes and peach and pear slices. I got the BEST white peaches. yum. Then I did manage my walk tonight. Got to be lazy a little while and read the paper. End of day.

Tomorrow looks like it might be a slow day for me, but anything can happen. DH is prone to giving me last minute tasks. The only thing on my list is to call the carpet store. I'm sure he will think of something else before the day is over. It is supposed to be in the 70's, so I might actually get in a bike ride.

Hi to everyone looking in and hope you had a wonderful week-end.

Hello Gals!!

Just a quick pop in as I gotta get going. Need milk for cereal......who knew they'd want breakfast around here??

A big warm welcome to both Nixxie & Jennifer!!! I hope you both enjoy it around here! I'm looking so forward to hearing more about you!!

Cristi--Hope you had a wonderful day w/V!! Glad you found your angel ornament! Smart to snag one now too.

Jane--Any extra time w/Jhanai is wonderful. She's getting older so darn fast!! She needs to slow it down a bit!

Sue--I love stuffed peppers! But I"m the only one around here. Sooooo, would you mind sending one my way?

Ifonly--I've heard DDR's are loads of fun and a person can lose a lot w/those! Have fun!

Ok chickies....

I gotta run to the store. I'll pop in when I get a free moment again.

Hugs to all!!

Hi ladies...

Not much going on...but then there never is, unless of course you count cleaning the house and laundry, ugh.

MARTI...Hallmark had a Christmas Open House in July where they put out some of the ornaments and I didn't go. Had to get some cards not long after that and thought I would check on the angel. The only one they had was the display and I didn't think to ask if I could have that one. Thought I would just check back later thinking they would have more...nope...then saw it the other day and grabbed it, lol. I don't know what it is...they have Christmas stuff out but their ornament selection is pitiful. Can't believe I am thinking of Christmas but I am. I WILL buy early this year.

IFONLY...hate to sound dumb but what is DDR? I am drawing a total blank right now. Hope you get some rest from your exhausting weekend.

JANE...the movie is the one with Will Farrell, the racing one. I think he is a cornball but I like him. I can't remember the last time Ernie's nails were trimmed. There are two things he doesn not like, and I do mean does not like...1) getting close to his privates (ask the vet, lol) 2) having his nails trimmed. That's why I try to take him on walks because the pavement serves as a file.

SUE...we did get the pergola finished but couldn't do the yard work because everything was wet. We've been getting rain for a few days so he's going to do some of it today. What we are doing is putting this compressed compost type edging around all the trees and putting mulch around them too. We have some mulch around the trees and the circles are growing smaller with the grass growing closer. Nothing major, but digging up the grass. Actually that should be easy since it is wet. Hope you enjoyed your bike ride.

Hello to everyone else

I tried to get up early to get things done early but it didn't happen. Instead of going to IF to exercise I mowed the front and back yard...what a job. Thinking we had some rain sometime last night because it was wet. But it needed it...should have been done Sat but it rained so...anyway...better get going. I need to email Josh. He emailed yesterday but I wasn't on the computer. He's going to send his address so I can get some stuff sent out. So far from V's work we received three bags of stuff...hope it doesn't get out of hand. Right now I am using Josh's bed to put everything on to sort out and pack. Anyway....have a good day ladies!

Hi ladies,

Sue - I beat him again, lol. It has to be just about time for the tide to turn, and he'll start beating me, haha. We're having cooler temps here too, and it's none too quick for me! I love to see each season get here, and love to see each season go.

ifonly - like Cristi, I have no clue what a DDR is? At first I thought you did a typo for DVD, lol. Please enlighten us, ok?

Marti - well, hey, we need milk, too. And while you're at it, I need some other stuff. tee hee

Cristi - wow, that's great about V's work people gathering things for you to send. Sounds like you got lots of exercise mowing. I should do that, but don't even drive the ride-on mower, lol. Ever since Chloe died, Molly doesn't get nearly enough exercise. The two of them used to chase rabbits (seldom caught any, lol) and now Molly mainly hangs around Neal or me all day.

Hello to anyone reading this.

Well, I was on here earlier, and posted in the challenge thread. Then one of my nephews (Joe, the Vincennes fire chief) called and said if I was going to be here, he'd come out for a visit, so I logged off. He and I are really close, so I was glad to see him.

Mary had to take Makenzie to Evansville for some allergy tests today, so I've got the other 2 here, and they're down for naps. I put a bunch of kisses in Makenzie's palm, and told her that if she needs them while she's at the doctor's, to just rub them where she needs them. I used to to do that to my kids when they were little, too, and then give them refills, lol.

Hope you're having a good day, and I'll chat at ya later.

DDR is Dance Dance Revolution. We bought a bundle (dancepad and game) this weekend and now I think I have buy another dancepad on the way home. Ergh. We're totally addicted. And, I have all these stupid dance songs going through my head now, specifically Pump Up the Volume and Beyonce's Crazy in Love.

It certainly made me sleep soundly, though. Exercise always makes me want to curl up and sleep.

Oh..okay..DDR is something my grandaughters brought over to my house one day. They were dancing like crazy. Then my 6'9" step-son got going on it and we nearly laughed ourselves silly. He said he needed to get one for exercise, but don't think he has. I didn't try it, but I could see where it would work you into a sweat.

Cristina- We are going to do that around our trees at the new house, and I will plant hostas under some of them. I will have all winter to devise a plan for the yard.

Jane- Cute idea about the kisses. I bet the kids use them up just so they can ask for refills.

Marti- Sorry about your luck..the stuffed peppers were gone last night.

Well, I did end up with something to do today. Had another showing on the house. PLEASE someone make us an offer. DH and I went out to dinner and to the grocery while we had to be gone from here.

Stayed OP so far and feel good about it. I had a salad, small sirloin steak and small baked potato for dinner. I don't do sour cream, just a bit of margerine and didn't do bread. With what I had earlier I did ok.

The bad news is that it has rained off and on and I did not ride the bike and it looks doubtful for my walk. I hope to at least do WATP before I shower. ugh!

Yay! I got in the WATP so I am feeling good about my day. We are actually having the chicken salad tomorrow that I made for today. So, no cooking tomorrow. I also made tortilla soup to eat on this week, so I am quite prepared. Lots of fresh veggies to toss for salads and I am ready to be GOOD.

Hi to everyone!

Hi To All: I was ill over the weekend. Nothing that I could put my finger on. I just felt bad. I stayed in bed all day Sat. and rested Sunday by watching tv. I lost a pound. I didn't feel like eating so not a total loss.
I just wanted to check in and let you know I was thinking about you all.

Jane: I love the idea of kissing the kids palms. I'll have to remember that. As for your ironing. I have a love hate relationship with my iron. I love crisp shirts but I hate having to do it, so you'll have to love on your own shirts!

Cristina: If your ribbons start to fade, you might get the yellow plastic 2" wide ribbon that construction people use. You'll find it at the hardware store. It's really cheap and doesn't fade.

Wow...kind of quiet in here. I guess that means everyone has a life. (except me?) Actually, I have been busy, just slowed down for a bit. I cleaned out my car...raining, so I won't wash it. I also cleaned up the bicycle and oiled the chain. It is an old coaster brake bike that has been sitting for years. Can't believe the tires are still okay. (after some air) I took a ride earlier and I lovvvved it. I just don't think this bike is very comfy. Need DH to adjust the seat and handlebars. I hope that does the trick 'cause I doubt I can get a new bike. Went to the house and the cabinet guys were not there..ugh. I hope they show up today as they said they would. Nothing p.o's me (and DH)more than someone not keeping an appt. and not calling.

Alrighty then...I am off to do wifey type chores. BBL.
