TUESDAY: Today is target Tuesday and our target this week is continuing with exercise info. If you can't get in an hour, try half an hour, broken into 10 minutes sections, try walking 15 minutes of your lunch hour, 10 minutes fast walking or running on the treadmill, etc.

POINTS:

LeeAnn

LeeAnn: My son is a black belt in JuJitSu and he loves it. He even helps run the dojo he belongs to. He is part of a group that goes to matches and whatnot. It is a big family organization and I can't remember the darn name for anything. I know he has a big tournament coming up in August in Ohio I think.

I better get kickin. I have lots to do today.

So I didn't get to go to my TWD (tae kwon do) class. My mother decided she was having a brain aneurism (spelling!) and that I had to take her to the emergency room.

While we were there she thought that they weren't moving fast enough for her taste (4 ambulances came in with two very serious cases while we were there) so called her doctor at home to see if he could make them take her in next. (Of course- he wouldn't.)

So 8 hours later (2 am) the doctor sends her home with a flu and a nasal allergy- NOT a brain aneurism or a stroke.

*sigh* Julie...ever wonder where I get my overreaction tendencies from? Hopefully I'm not as serious as that. LOL! ...just FIVE MORE DAYS!!! At least I can be glad that the police weren't called this time. Sheez!

WEDNESDAY: today is Wednesday's woe so if you have a complaint or gripe, today is the day to get it off your chest!

LeeAnn: Sounds like mama has some "issues." My mom has been gone 8 years now, but she was a real piece of work too so I can sympathize. Glad it is nothing serious with her health though.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today.

You missing ladies. We miss it when you are not here!

Morning everyone,
I've been doing well, but we are finally getting a blast of winter (subzero after 50s in January) and it's making me want to hibernate! I took the day off skating yesterday cuz my knee felt twingy after lots of jumping practice on Monday. I'm back at it today, though.

Lee, your mom needs a padded room--badly!

Everyone have a great day.

LOL! We just brush off anything she says or does. She doesn't know where the new house is or the new phone # and that's all that matters. We can control how and when she is in our life. (Not saying she won't be in our life, we couldn't keep the kids from her... too cruel to them and her.)

So tonight is fight practice and tomorrow is TWD.. Hubby is keeping up with me. I show him everything I'm doing in TWD as soon as I get home, so we're kind of doing it together. We're having such a good time.

(Julie- we feel like we HONESTLY don't care about belts in the SCA anymore. We're doing it in TWD instead...TWD- pass the test= get the belt. No politicking to go up levels.. it's all skill and study...YAY!)

I'm not losing any weight, and since I've decided to stay away from fake sugar (chemical city!) I've probably been more off program than on, ...BUT my clothes are fitting a bit better and I'm so much more cheerful and laid back about the little things. So's Dave (hubby). We're even flirting more and .. well we're happier, anyway. Ha ha!

I agree with Faye.. where'd you all go? I know I can be tiresome, but... (LOL)

Amanda, still kicking butt all over that scale? I'm so jealous! Sometimes I feel like I'll neve be as low as I was for the one whole year Dave let me before we got preg again! I even weighed less than I did (155) in high school!

Faye- I don't blame him. If I could find a sitter, I'd probably volunteer to work for free at my dojang, too!

I think I've been hit one too many times somewhere in my life. I love fighting. I love tournaments of all kinds becasue you get to meet and "greet" other fighters and learn all kinds of new things! It's so much fun to pull a new trick and have everyone say "What the heck was THAT?"

Anyhow.. I'm currently.. (running to the scale in the bathroom)..oh geez! I jumped up to 166! Need to go to more practices and sparring classes!

Later, girls! I'm off to finish packing the girls' room up. Looks like we might be able to close on the house early and move Fri night and Sat morning.... hope hope!

Hi guys,

Sorry I've not been around - I've been pretty busy (socialising and having fun, as per my new year resolution!) and now I am sick! I've come down with a really nasty head cold and my head feels like it's going to explode - so that means no gym for me for a while. I expect it was the copious amounts of alcohol I had at the weekend that have lowered my immunity - you'd think with all the veg I've been eating on my new plan I'd be safe from colds!

I weighed in this morning and I haven't lost any more weight - boo! Nigel has lost 7lb and the only exercise he gets is walking from the computer to the loo! I guess I did drink alot on Saturday, and then had a pizza on Sunday and haven't been able to exercise since then. I'm doing my best and will try even harder in March. On a positive note, I did lose 3lb earlier in the month, so at least there was some loss in February - which is more than for the past few months! I haven't taken my inches yet - I'll do it when I'm feeling a bit better.
I'm getting alot of positive male attention when I am out and am feeling pretty good about myself right now - so sod the scales!

Anyway, take care everyone

Love Amanda x

4 points for me yesterday. Not much else going on, though.

Amanda, I"m so happy that you're out and socializing and having a great time! You deserve it!!

Lee, I know what you mean about the belt thing. I'm doing the same thing you are, only with skating. I'm hoping it means I can just fight at Pennsic and have fun doing it--instead of thinking I have something to prove to everyone.

Hope everyone else is having a great week!
TTFN,
Julie

THURSDAY: Today is Time for Us Thursday so let's give ourselves a little special time today.

We miss you Carri!

We miss you Susan (though you may be at your quilt thingy still)

Amanda: Hope you are feeling better hon! My cold decided it would be helped along by my allergies Consequently, I still have some of it hanging around, UGH!

LeeAnn: My son was so funny because they live in Northwest Indiana about 100 miles from Chicago. He wanted the 4 of us to go see a Cubs game this year, but he outlined what months and days were a no go as he has a couple of tournaments coming up, one in spring and one in August and would be training and didn't want to have to miss the beer and hot dogs!

Julie: How was the skating yesterday, ok? It got up to 76 here yesterday and I had to turn the AC on last night! It is lovely this morning. I have a fan on and the door open.

An update on my dil's dad. She got an e-mail from the dr that saw him originally and that she contacted recently because her dad is getting worse. He told her that they turned him down for surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and there is nothing he can do to help him because he needs at least a new heart valve and probably a heart transplant. He has two things against him big time regarding transplant, being in prison and being a legal alien (which because of his prison time they will probably deport him when he gets out in a year) I just feel so sorry for her as she and her sisters have only made contact with him over the last couple years and the first time she has seen him since he went to prison was a couple months ago when my son took her to Boston to visit him. Heavy burden for her as she is the oldest dd.

Everyone have a super day. I am off to clean! (Big surprise, huh! I know you all are falling off your chairs from shock! )

Morning Girls ... well as of this morning I got on the scale and I am down 15 pounds since Jan 3rd, so that mean I have lost 7.5 pounds each month for Jan and Feb ... I was getting kind of down on myself because I still was not under 200 but I was like ya know what? I have done pretty darn well with those 15 pounds so I am not gonna pout but keep going forward ... I feel like I am in the zone again and really gonna keep it up.

Amanda - Dont be down on yourself I too had pizza this last weekend, it has such a hold on me it is crazy !!! I love it and crave it all of the time, so I know where you are coming from ... but I only had about 3 pcs, which normally I would have had about 8-9, so I did do a little better. You will be fine!! You are doing great!

Faye, Julie, Susan, LeAnn - I have missed alot so not doing personal messages but hope you all are doing well ...

Have a great day!!!

First of all,
CONGRAT CARRIE!!
Sorry if that's carried (ha!) away...but 15 pounds in 2 months is AWESOME!! I haven't lost pound one yet, in spite of all my efforts...gotta get my thyroid checked....

Next--4 points for me yesterday.

Hmm, not much else to say. Still cold and hibernate-y here. Skating is progressing nicely. I want to skate my first two tests in June, so I have a LOT of work to do. I've also been invited to skate in the club show in May, but it will depend on my own show schedule and how stressed I am.

Amanda--hope you're feeling better today!

TTFN,
Julie

Wink

Faye.. AIR CONDITIONING??!! I'm so jealous! It's the same as at Julie's house.. cold, windy and bleak. We generally have to schedule our family visits around tournaments, too. We like to try to fit everything we like in and not miss anything! (Especially our families!)

Man, am I sore! We don't use so much wrist and ankle in the SCA, and mine are aching (not hurt.. just "I got a good workout" kind of sore)... I'm afraid to step on the scale again, though.. last time.. well you know. Ha ha!

Julie- yeah. I hope Ced isn't too disappointed in me for giving up the whole "knighthood" dream, but the pressure's completely off now. I'm getting that feeling of achievement from other places, I gave my webpage away, got off the ironrose list, and decided that fighting is going to be more like my number 3 hobby instead of my number one life's goal, etc. There's nothing to make me feel like I "have to," and it feels so good!

I went to fight practice Wed night and cleaned up.. without my contacts! (I forgot them).. back in Oldcastle style! With that Tiny Shield!!!! Was definitely in the Zone. Love it.

Carri... just one word... WOW!

The kids are getting excited about the move. I've been talking it up for the last few weeks. We're doing the final walkthrough today and (darn lawyers!) closing on monday.

Amelia (almost 3) keeps asking "go Amelia's big new happy house now?" LOL! Deanna (1 yr this month) keeps throwing everything into boxes now. I think my plan to get them excited about the move worked!

On the other hand, I also haven't slept for the last three nights. Because their room has been mostly packed, it echoes horribly and magnifies any sound. So they are constantly waking each other up all night. They're pretty miserable, and I'm tired, but I keep saying "Only __ more days!!"

As soon as they have their own rooms about 85% of the sleep issues will be solved and we can start sleeping in even as late as 6:30am! ..

You ladies with no kids.... Wait until you are darn sure you're done sleeping for the rest of your life!!!! Those parents that tell you how wonderful and fulfilling it is are laughing behind your back because company loves misery and they want to spread the love! ha ha!

Keep smiling!

Afternoon All - thanks for all the congrats on my 15 pounds, I do feel like it is quite an accomplishment but then again I still feel down on myself for putting that much weight back on again ...put I am looking ahead positively knowing I will get where I want to be this year if I keep this up ...

Julie - Thanks for all the smileys, made me feel special I would check your thyroid checked, they check mine like once a year, but I have never had a problem with it.

Leann - I hate moving, I went through it last in Nov of 2004 and I told dh you better like this house alot because I am never going through that again...so I feel for ya! Also I hear ya on the sleep and kids, that is why I do not have any yet, I sooooooooooo love my sleeping in .

Faye - How is everything going with your program? Keeping your dil and her dad in my prayers....

Susan - Hi, havent heard from you in a while, hope all is okay.

Amanda - Well it is the weekend again, can I stay OP and stay away from the pizza ( back away from the pizza box, Carri... ) , who knows but I am certainly going to try... again - only you know my pizza pain ...

Good morning ladies. Quick peek in to put us on the first page again.

Carri: I am not even working my program right now. I can't go into it, but I have some stuff going on that is kind of keeping me "all shook up" and I am just going day to day until it gets sorted out. Thanks for asking though.

I am hoping to get some honey do list stuff done today with Jack. Nothing earth shattering, but some stuff that needs to be done before my sister gets here.

**Regarding the above that I said to Carri. Keep me in your thoughts. There is something we are having to do and we hope it comes out alright and in the meantime, my insides feel like jello all the time waiting.**

Have a great weekend girls!
