Dee
So glad that you are posting again. Hope the doctor's can find a cure for you soon. I've been in Missouri for a year since retirement. Life is busy with family and I'm loving it.

Annie
Do you have the results of your colonoscopy?

Susie
Thanks for explaining about your VP and her food. Glad that she worked out some of her food herself. I'm extremely glad to get to stay in my home. I do like it here.

Happy
How did your day at the senior center go? I enjoyed the story about the woman and the teddy bear also.

Laura
I'm ready for some cooler weather. It's hard for me to breathe in the hot, humid weather. Have you decided to do the exercise video's instead of going to the gym. How is your foot?

Shad
How are things going with you?

------
This week I've been doing some deep cleaning and changed out three pot/can lights in the ceiling. Still have one more of those to do. I don't like getting on a ladder but it has to be done to reach the ceiling fans. I'm tired of my nephew using toilet paper to roll my bedroom ceiling. My sis saw it yesterday. My nephew and sis came by to measure my windows for new screens. I'm wanting to air out this house.
We had book club today after church. It was a very good discussion.
Been having more problems with my stomach. I'm making an appointment with he doctor to see what can be done or what should be done.

How much can a heart take.....My SIL, the one in Illinois, my brother Chuck's wife has just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Most likely started with a tumor in her lung. Is not detected in her brain and few other areas. Doesn't look good. Prayers please.

One of the softball mom's from Samantha's fast pitch days, lost her husband to cancer on Saturday. Viewing Wednesday night. He had jaw cancer from chewing.

On to better news....my colonoscopy went well. No polyps. Don't have to go back for 10 years which is not long enough. Prep was awful of course. Went through 8 pairs of undies and 7 nightgowns. (some were t-shirts).. I do have diverticulosis. (the pockets but not the infection). I have never had any issues with it and didn't even know I had it. Doc said I may never. People over 50 seem to have a bit of this as they age. Body parts giving out I guess. It is more hereditary than caused by diet. Doc also said the old you cannot eat popcorn or seedy foods is just an old wives tale. Hmmm.

So I have decided that my head is not ok or not ok with the entire C. It is a daily thing whether it is or not. Mostly what I chose to be when I wake up, sometimes. Yeee

Worked in the yard quite a bit both Sat and Sun. Church was great and C went also as did Sam. The boys were at scout camp. The service was directed directly at C. Funny when you attend how it applies to your life.

Bout it for my weekend life.

SUSIE...Great job on the loss at TOPS. I got down to 156 just prior to colonoscopy. But once I started eating I went right back to 160. That might be my staying point. WOuld like to master 159 so I can say I am in the 150's lol. Work sounds like it will get better after VP leaves. Thank you Jesus.

Hello DEE....sorry to hear of all the health problems. On my prayer list for sure and hope you get some relief soon. This past year...geez...let's go with weight. I am finally at goal 160. Went on the keto way of eating Feb 11 and lost the remainder of the weight to get to goal. Now maintaining.

CEEG...don't like doing anything that involves a ladder. May the force be with you. What did you mean by nephew using toilet paper to roll your ceiling?

LAURA...hope you enjoyed your breakfast with your friend. It was way too hot to do anything outside this weekend.

HAPPY...no pillow cases with $$ in them. Bummer. lol. Now you can sell liquor. OMGoodness now they will depend on you more because you have your license. Hope not. The hole gets deeper.

Oh just got a call from my therapist. I can start this week instead of next as they have an opening at 10:30 today.

Chat later girls. Hugs

Hi guys,

So sorry I have not been posting regularly. Life is chaotic at best lately. I am in debilitating pain for weeks now with I think it's the arthritis. I can barely walk and my whole body just hurts so badly it's messing with my head now. I try to keep plugging along but it's rough. And there is plenty to take my mind off things. I looked at October's calendar and there is literally only 2 days - both Sunday when I don't have anything at all going on. I have volunteer commitments, I am taking a bunch of classes (fun stuff - writing, cooking, yoga) and I am trying to squeeze a small visit to Chicago for my Mom's birthday although the airlines is dicking around with seating - it looks like there are seats available but when I go to book - no dice. Deep breaths, just work through it.

So last Friday I went to the Senior Center. Got an earful to say the least from each of the people who were there. What a mess of things. We had bad storms, the power blipped completely off for a couple of minutes. Computer rebooted and it's password locked and I have no password. The person I was covering for left a phone number although she was out in the woods hunting and might be in a dead zone. Called the number - it's been disconnected. Really? You JUST left that note 2 days ago. Ok, well I can't do a thing without the computer as I need it to schedule bus rides, check on things to provide answers to callers and finish the forms I was working on. The other girl tried to text her - I'm wondering then why don't you give me that phone number???? Eventually the girl came in to get her paycheck and gave me the password. She mumbled something incoherent when I said her phone number didn't work... I took 71 phone calls that day. Went home tired. We went out to dinner at a newer place that has bad food - too bad, they are in a great location but this is the 3rd time we went and the food is not good at all. Saturday I worked half a day at the shop - we had our fall festival and it was beastly hot and humid. People were coming into the shop where we had the air conditioning on and were loving it. We sold alot of stuff. My buddy was soooo grateful I came in to help him both of us have bad ankles and he said he'd have been crippled if he worked alone like he prefers. I took the last amount of strength I had to hobble the 2 blocks down to get a gyro (one of my favorite festival treats). Brought back a Philly cheese steak sandwich for DH and ate a bit of my gyro and then iced my screaming foot. Sunday I prepped dinner ahead of time (grilled chicken), made a vegetable gratin from eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash and garden tomatoes with parmesan cheese. It was good but didn't bake long enough even though I followed directions. I cut up a watermelon I bought last week - that was good and refrigerated it. Did 3 loads of laundry and some cleaning and then I went outside to rip out the last of the garden as it is turning cold and rainy today and through the week. I wanted to go to the casino for 2 hours for a special thing they have going on and was hurrying in the garden. Didn't get quite everything done but DH ripped out the cages he carefully built for the strawberries we never got to eat because the blasted hail destroyed them!! He took out the cucumber plants too - I salvaged a few smaller ones, will try and make refrigerator pickles with them. Had to shower after the garden work so got to the casino a bit later than planned but had an entertaining 90 minutes and walked out 4 dollars ahead of what I walked in with and gained about $30 in free play money. Came home and prepped dinner sides while DH grilled chicken and put my gratin in the oven. Was just starting to eat when Sis called to chat so I never did get to finish my dinner. As I was cooking DH had the football game on and I could hear a very faint beeping. Made me crazy so I turned off all the fans and tv and it appeared to come from the basement. My upright freezer that is PACKED with over $1,000 worth of food was sounding the too warm alarm. Temp was 26 degrees (F) - should have been negative 5 degrees. Things were still frozen but I have no where to store all that stuff. And it was 8pm on a Sunday night. And I was hurting. I went to bed depressed and feeling bad and tossed and turned most of the night. Today I have to myself other than I have to go out and get my eggs I ordered from the farmer's market. This is the last market day of the season The day started with unexpected phone calls - one from the senior center - did I know what happened to... Didn't see it. Then I got a call from a chatty volunteer who wanted me to put out an email asking for baked goods for an upcoming fall festival where we have a booth for the Humane Society. That was a 35 minute call. THen DH is asking me if I called for service on the freezer let me have coffee and wake up!!! I did find some diagnostics for the freezer - it's usually a fan that blew - that is the repair for 70 percent of the time and it would be faster for DH to fix it himself than to get a repairman out here. So I ordered the $45 part and paid $26 to get it shipped here tomorrow. Thankfully the freezer is holding at 25 degrees so I think everything will be ok although I will have to empty at least half of it so DH can get at the back inside of the freezer to replace the fan. I am supposed to work with my friend at the Thrift Shop tomorrow morning but I don't think they will deliver the part until the afternoon so I can probably still manage that. I don't want to open the freezer until I know we have the part just in case it can't cool back down.

Annie - I'm sorry that you have such sadness in your life right now. I wish the sun would shine more on you As for C - you need to sort your feelings - I hope that therapy can help you with that task - though I do understand the fluctuation of feelings from one day to the next. I'm glad they were able to work you in for an earlier appointment. Bummer on the diverticulosis diagnosis BUT at least you can be aware of it and deal with it. I too read that all too often people avoid all fiber and seeds when first diagnosed because attacks are horrible. However, you do need some of that to keep the colon cleaned out so it can go too far with avoidance. They recommend that people test the waters were certain foods to see what creates a negative reaction but to not avoid fibers and seeds totally. I tried that conversation with my Mother but 2 months later she is still telling me NO WAY although we ended the conversation long ago. I think you are more reasonable. I smiled at your remark Anne, yes - it pays to be INCOMPETENT!!! I always said the reward for hard work was MORE hard work - Susie is a prime example of that as are YOU

Ceejay - I didn't understand what your nephew is doing with the toilet paper and your ceiling? Be careful on that ladder. Sorry to hear about your stomach issues - are you sticking to your eating plan?

Dee - I am very sorry to hear of all your medical issues - will keep you on the prayer list - hope you can find some comfort. Rest assured that not everyone is losing weight here on the site. I am struggling myself but I wanted to say that NOTHING should EVER be a reason to feel ashamed to not come and post here. We are supportive and caring and you are always welcome, especially when you need a soft shoulder or some encouragement. I do hope things get better for you.

Susie - I'm glad your IC has calmed down. That was very kind of you to help the VP by shopping for her. So much better than she was not the kind to demand things, instead was grateful for your help. I hope that things can get more calm and normal this week. Congrats on keeping to the plan in spite of all of the chaos - it seems to me that this time of year as we head into winter, the body wants to store those extra calories and I say NOOOOOO. I have enough padding thank you Thank you for your kind words about the teddy bear story.

Laura - back when I was working I attended a lecture about generational diversity put on by a 20 something up and coming fellow at the company. He was sincere and we all liked him BUT I could not help feeling that he was drinking the kool aid that the company wanted him to believe - that all of us - young and old - were equally valued. Sorry - yes I am jaded - when you get to the section of the boomers where you become invisible to be pushed out the door, you tend to get that way... BUmmer that you didn't get much out of the antibiotics lecture - was it too generic or just not any real information outside of common knowledge? You should elaborate on the comment form so they get some good feedback.

Well I think I'd better get moving. Heavy rain is supposed to move in this afternoon and I want to get to the farmers market and back home before that begins. Would be nice if I could finish cleaning out the garden too before it makes a big sloppy mess. They have huge big pumpkins for only $5 at the market. The deer LOVE pumpkin but we haven't seen any of them in about 4 or 5 days. It IS hunting season and they could be hiding from the Elmer Fudd's in the woods. I wish they'd all crowd on our property and the empty lot next door - DH would defend them. I do hope Chuckie the buck makes it though another year. He is pretty clever about hiding and mistrusting humans other than DH.

Anyway - happy start to the week.

Almost made it through the work day. I have about another hour.

I AM getting on the treadmill or bike tonight. I took a whole week off and it was good that I did with the IC flare but my body is saying MOVE!

Saturday we closed on the refinancing of our home and the home equity loan. My home equity loan check gets deposited on Thursday. I have called my contractor to let him know. I want to get the things I want done by the end of October.

I was going to hold off on having the kitchen painted until spring..but then I thought, wouldn't it be nice to have a bright newly painted kitchen when I'm inside all the time...so I'm adding that to the list of things. I'm ok if it gets done in November.

I still haven't figured out what color I want the storm door frame to be. I have to figure that out so I know what color I want my existing door painted.

I need to find some time to go with my contractor to Lowe's. Maybe next Thursday on my work from home day.

It was and still is super hot here! Saturday it was just miserable.

Annie: I'm glad they got you in to an early appointment. I'm also glad to hear that the everything with the colonoscopy went well.

I am sorry to hear of the sickness and deaths of those close to you.

Happy: I'm sorry to hear that you are dealing with pain and stiffness. It make is hard to get things done and you have a lot of things on your plate!

I hope you can get someone out to look at the freezer soon.

Ceejay: I hope you can get into the doctor soon to see what is going on with your stomach.

I am a bit confused about the bath tissue being rolled on the ceiling.

Hi to Shad, Dee and Laura.

Hi girls,

I think what Ceejay is talking about is that she tried to insert a picture into her signature on 3FC. She needs to go in and edit her signature and delete the HTML code that is in error. It's at the beginning of her signature and starts with "[SIGPI]" it should be SIGPIC not SIGPI - either correct to the the right name or delete the code altogether. And then SAVE the changes on the signature. She will have to delete the bad code before she can try and upload a new picture because while it will let you click the INSERT PICTURE button twice, it will give you an error because it inserts the code twice. I don't have enough time to step through this right now as I have to get ready and head off to the thrift shop in 30 minutes.

The part for the freezer should be coming today. that it fixes things. I hope. I told DH to call me at the shop if the part comes early, I will have to empty at least half of the freezer - I hope not all of it - so he can get to the panel to get to the fan. Tonight we have an "Attracting Birds to your Feeders" class at the local junior college tonight - DH is hoping to get some tips on attracting a pileated woodpecker to our yard. I hope this won't be a lame class. Tomorrow I get my hair done and we have an evening class with our favorite chef. Thursday I have a team meeting at the shelter (hoping it will be productive) and then bingo at night - jackpot will be over $1,000 but several of the regulars said they won't be able to make it for various reasons so I don't know how busy it will be. Also the Packers are playing the Bears (football) so we can always drum up some fun in the way of friendly rivalry. OMG - I am so STUPID. I grabbed a handful of my supplements - about 12 pills and absentmindedly just popped them all in my mouth at once and took a big swig of coffee. What an idiot!!! Thankfully they all went down smoothly.

Susie - did you get on the treadmill last night? How nice that everything is a go with the refinancing and you can proceed with the home improvement projects. I know what you mean about the painting. I have been stymied for well over a year as to what to paint the inside of our house. We have a very large, open floor plan - 2 floors high and I can't decide on a color at all. I want a warm color because it's cold up here but the colors I like are more cool tones. I was debating about grays which are the new "it" color although I am not trendy at all and not sure how well gray will go with oak trim. It's a hassle, isn't it?

Annie - when are you getting a counselling appointment?

It appears that the heat and humidity from the Gulf area has finally moved on - we are back to seasonal temps in the 60's and rain. Everyone is tired of the wet weather. We are supposedly at about 50 percent color change, not sure if the leaves got the message. I see a lot of dull spotty yellows. Maybe we will try and take a ride out somewhere this weekend to check things out.

Time for me to hop in the shower. Catch up later with the rest of yous

Thanks for the help. I've deleted that picture. May put it on FB. Hope you are feeling better.

Think that my stomach problem is due to the fact that I've become a coke-a-holic. I don't drink much water any more. So today that will change. I still need to get my flu shot so I will keep my doctor's appointment.

Good Grief. Life....

SIL has non small cell lung cancer which has metastasised (sp) to the brain and other areas. This can be targeted whatever the H that means. It still doesn't sound good. My research (internet) says 6 mos to a year. Who really knows but the MAN! Still waiting on updates from my brother.

C is refinancing his house to include a couple of large bills that will give us relief. Just playing the waiting game with the mortgage company and appraiser.

Therapy was yesterday. It was ok. The approach was good (brain spotting). I think I talked more than I would of if approached differently. I don't know. I just want to be a better me. Yeee

HAPPY...OMG the boys loved their gift. Jacob's eyes got bit as saucers and he started wiggling his loose tooth so he could use the container. How cute. Thank you so very much. The card was perfect and just what I needed. You are such a wonderful friend. I am sad to hear you are in so much pain right now. Could be the weather changes with the arthritis. Are you doing a packet of gelatin every day. It seems to help me. All the pain does not go away in my knee but I can certainly tell a difference. Good grief, all your volunteering jobs are certainly giving you a run. You do know STRESS can make ole Author flare up. Sounds like you have too much stress in your daily life. Now the freezer. What the heck else? Did the fan part fix the problem? You have 1000$ in meat in your freezer? Holy cow. You cannot buy anything else til you use up at least 3/4 to all of what you already have. Insert rolling pin here. Hugs, Love and Healing to you sister.

SUSIE...I am glad you are feeling better and getting back to your exercising TONIGHT. Must be the season for refinancing. Hopefully we can get a closing scheduled sooner rather than later for his house.

CEEG...hope your tummy gets to feeling better. YOU KNOW BETTER THAN TO DRINK SODA! Insert another rolling pin here.

Hello to all...it has taken me forever to get here today. So much to do.

Hugs.

Afternoon all. Another hot day, but I brought lunch from home so I’m not going outside at lunch today.

Dee – Glad to see you back here! I hope your lab results are good, and that the thyroid issues are resolved. When do you see the neurologist? Please don’t leave the neuro dr’s office until you get clear explanations of what the MRI results are, and what the next steps/options are! I’m not a church going person, but I will certainly keep you in my prayers. == 2017 has not been one of my better years – think I already whined about the stress fracture and not being able to do what I want and gaining weight because of that as well as a never-ending self-pity party (which includes overeating, of course). Now trying to do some exercise in spite of the foot. That’s about it.

Susie – I’m glad you got the food thing worked out with your VP and that it’ll make your life easier for the remainder of her time in town. == Congrats on achieving a loss last week! == Yay for getting the mortgage refinanced, and yay for getting the home equity loan check! Let the work begin!!!

Ceejay – Yes, I’m working out at home these days. I still have to modify movements quite a bit and at this point, I don’t want to pay for exercise classes if I’m not going to be able to get much out of them. == I also don’t get what your nephew is doing with your ceiling that involves TP – that sounded funny, LOL. Anyway, that reminded me of grade school. The old building had a scary basement that was actually our lunchroom and was also used for the after school activities. In the girl’s bathroom, we would take a wad of TP, wet it (with water, lol) and throw it straight up to the ceiling, where it would remain stuck. The ceiling was covered with hundreds of lumps of dried up TP! Oh misspent youth. == When you’re done with the deep cleaning, c’mon up by me. Plenty to do by me!

Annie – I’m so sorry to hear about your SIL and the softball mom’s hubby. Very sad news. == I’m glad the colonoscopy went well. Ugh, prep. == Hope the counseling session went well!

Happy – I’m so sorry to hear about the arthritis pain. == Your October sounds busy, but I’m glad you’ve got some fun stuff in there too. (Hope the birdfeeder class isn’t lame!!) I hope your flight arrangements have worked out alright. == Did you get the rest of your garden removed? I feel guilty about neglecting my 4 measly veg plants this season. I should tear everything out right now, though the one cherry tomato plant is still producing a bit, in spite of the drought and lack of watering. == I hope the freezer has been fixed – that’s a lot of food in there! == Re the health lectures – they don’t ask hand out comment forms! If I actually registered on the website for it, I suppose I might get a survey, not sure. But I don’t register because it’s not required. == Ouch re swigging the coffee to wash down the pills! Or was it not that hot?? == You can send us some of your rain – we are in a drought here since about 8/1, less than 3 inches. The grass looks just awful.

Hello Shad!!
==
My weekend was alright. A lot of time spent inside because it was so hot. I’m watching the 2nd season of Outlander on dvd’s from the library. I’m perennially behind on most TV shows I watch. I don’t see Twin Peaks on Showtime’s page using the Amazon Firestick anymore. So much for that. I might do a free trial to try and watch the remaining episodes (#13-18), or just wait for it to come out on DVD at the library, or maybe Netflix.

I didn’t do much household stuff this weekend, but I did tackle some of the paper, so that’s at least something. My breakfast with my work friend on Saturday was fine. He’s now counting the months (about 6) until he reaches age 59.5, which is when he can access his retirement funds. He mostly complains about his co-workers. He’s getting a new boss, so I guess that’s what he’ll complain about when we get together next.

I got a massage yesterday. I hadn’t had one in a while. The 50 minutes when fast. Always does.

Okay, gotta get this posted. I have to prep for a meeting. TTFN.

Evening all,

At least today was cool. Not a lot else I can say about it. Went shopping for cabinets for the laundry - took the measurements and found that I have weird sizes in my little room. Bah humbug. I can get some of what I want from one place and yet to find somewhere for the other bit, other than having it made that is. Trying to find something that will allow a sink at the top and some storage underneath and I find I have a list of..................one. And that is for a metal cabinet similar to the one I had previously and it was about the most useless item that I have ever seen. Sure the sink part was okay, but the cupboard underneath was totally useless for putting anything in. So the search continues. Ikea tomorrow because DS2 reckons that if you have odd sizes, that's the best place to go. So, trusty tape measure in hand and book of measurements at the ready, I'll go back to Ikea tomorrow. I've already been there once and only seen one thing that impressed. I can of course go to the expensive places and have what I want made. But I don't want to go that expensive. Bah humbug already. Over this.

I've been making pickles and relishes and some jam for later in the year. I had a glut of tomatoes and had to do something with them. So the store cupboard is getting full. The garden is still giving me tomatoes and lettuce but the recent heatwave has sent most of the rest (except the beans and potatoes which I've only just planted) to seed. I can see a million lettuces in my future. Garden will be put to bed around November for the summer.

Had a visit to the doctor the other day. Sent me for blood tests, all except one came back in the normal range. No cancer markers found. Thank heavens. The one that came back with a question mark was something that could indicate something called multiple myeloma in my future. She says it is not likely and that of all the cancer patients she has seen, many blood tests come back with the indicators but only one has actually ever got the thing and that was nine years after being free of her cancer. So I have to have further tests but there isn't any hurry. Thank heavens for that. I don't want to go to yet another hospital for more tests. As for my hands, she is sending me to a neurologist. They rung me a couple of days ago, and the first available appointment was in December at Southport - around an hour drive south or February for my local area neurology place. Seems we are as bad as you lot for long appointment times.

Happy - so sorry to hear of your arthritis problems. Wish there was something I could do or suggest to help you. Getting old sure ain't that much fun sometimes. Hopefully your doctor might be able to prescribe something for you. Meantime look up foods that hurt and foods that heal that condition.

Ceejay - hope you sorted out your problem with the forum post. Have you got some relief from your stomach problems yet?

Laura - Had a laugh at your breakfast companion complaining about his co-workers and also getting a new boss. Such fun work these days.

Dee - good to have you back again. Hope all those tests will give your medic something to work on to put you back on the straight and narrow. I feel your pain with the weight going back on. I'm the same, darn it all.

Annie - lovely photo of you on facebook. You are really looking good. Hope you get things sorted with the counsellor although everything always seems to take a lot of time these days of stress and uncertainty and the degeneration of the human race.

Susie - busy as usual I see. Good to know another of us will be in the grip of renovation madness shortly. Once my laundry is done, that will be the last of the big renos. and I will only have things like paint choices after that - oh and learning how to lay an engineered timber floor. Another thing to add to my cv or resume if I ever decide to go back to work.

The cat Sunday is still with me. I'm not sure for how long. She is very demanding much of the time but won't eat what I have given her. She is a problem. I will be taking her back to the vet later this week or next to see if they can see what is going on. As I said, life is slowing down for her.

So that's about it for me. Can't think of much else. Best put myself to bed as 5.30 will come about soon enough and we are promised another gruesome heatwave tomorrow. Today was cool. Weather doesn't know what to do and is certainly not following the normal patterns anymore.
I have a long list of items to cross off my list tomorrow. Gardening early to stay out of the heat later. Kitchen, dining room to clean. Doors to paint indoors, walls to prime and paint and some progress needs to be made on the spare room. Hope I get a good nights sleep. Oh yes and fit in a trip to Ikea, doggie day care and long walk for me, lots of running for him. I think I need a BIG vitamin tablet. Or maybe so go go pills.

Good news...I suppose if you have stage 4 cancer. My SIL, Fe is home now from the hospital and doing good. Waiting game until the genetic test comes back. She will then be assigned a team of cancer experts for the type of cancer, once determined. This will all happen at the Barns Jewish cancer research center.

Oh in other happy news....At today's AA noon meeting the group is celebrating me. My two year sobriety anniversary was this past Sunday. Sept 24. I will get my two year token and there will be goodies to eat that I won't eat. Not going to cheat. I look at Keto as I do AA. No cheating. 159 this morning, officially 35.2 lbs. Got a new bathroom scale that measure BMI, fat, muscle mass, calories, water, and many other things. Not that I am going to do anything with those numbers, I am just curious. Got a deal on the scale for $24.95 on Amazon.

SHADDIE...thank you for the nice comment about my FB pic. It was truly a fun night with the gang. In a bar. 6 of the 10 peeps at our table in sobriety...no alcohol and a band. Not once did I crave or want a drink. ALTHO...the margarita that went by sure did look tasty...lol. Samantha and Curtis went also. Two members of the band were also in the program. Drummer that we knew and the keyboardist. We were home by 11:00 pm and I felt like I had been out all night. Was dragging on Sunday also. Sheesh how did I do it before? Good luck at IKEA. I hear it is the store to find anything. I have never been to one however there is one opening in October about a 1/2 hour from my house. Samantha and I have plans to investigate. No money to spend but window shop so to speak. Hope you get good news on Sunday the cat at the vet. Poor baby.

LAURA...I heard Outlander is a good show. What do you think of it. We don't get it on Netflix. Bummer. Glad you are taking exercising easy with your foot. At least you are moving and it is all about moving. The old co-worker complaining...well it gets worse the older we get. Sad but true.

Hello to the rest of you. Got to prepare for my 1x1 with boss in 10 minutes. I don't know why but I dread this call every week. Bleh

Hugs

Hello Everyone! We have lots of sunshine and hot weather today but that is to change tomorrow and be in the 60's. High 80's to 90 and then in the 60's.

Yesterday was a long work day for me and I felt like I got not nothing done, today is feeling the same. We are moving to Office 365 and everything will be stored on the Cloud. We had a overview training today. There will be other training's and also we have online training's we can do at anytime.

I hope to settle down here after I get my lunch finished. I was reading posts while I ate and now posting, then it is focus on getting the Enrollment report all done.

I didn't get my workout in last night but I knew it was going to end up being that way so I tried to walk the halls in the building a bit yesterday when the VP was in meetings with others. I could get in about a 15 min walk every hour and then be back to my desk before she finished one meeting and the others in the next meeting arrived.

I am so excited for the weekend....because other than a 9:30 a.m. hair appointment, we have NOTHING planned and no where to be and we have both committed to being at home and doing what we want to there and just go with the flow on both Saturday and Sunday.

I know we will clean house sometime on Saturday but it is just nice to not have commitments. It is the first weekend in 6 weeks that we haven't had something planned to do with other people.

Annie: Congratulations on the accomplishment of our 2 yr sobriety. I am very proud of you! That new scale sounds like a good investment to get all that information. You need it now..I would say that you are in the "maintenance " of your weight loss and so seeing BMI, muscle mass etc will help you stay there.

I am praying for your SIL.

Happy: How did bingo go? The aches of pains of arthritis are not fun! I have heard that the packet of gelatin every day does help and I think that Shad's reco to look up foods that help and what to stay away from is a good idea to go along with prescriptions and such.

Laura: A massage sounds wonderful!! I haven't had one in a long time. I like facials too. Very relaxing.

Ceejay: What did the doctor have to say? Did you pour out the coke that you have at home?

Shad: I have been to Ikea once---it was overwhelming to me but I would go back again.

Ok..got to post and get to work.

Evening all. It’s cooled down a lot here overnight. Very nice and comfortable today, low 70’s.

Shad – I hope you find the right size cabinet without having to get one custom-made. I might take my mom to Ikea – it seems to be a good place to get inexpensive furniture. I know she doesn’t want to spend a lot, and shopping for secondhand furniture at resale & thrift shops would take forever. Plus she needs smaller scale pieces, and Ikea has a lot of that – including a table that is mounted to the wall and folds down when not in use. = I’m glad you’re getting a lot from your veg garden, unlike me. But I’m sure you’ve been much more attentive with yours than I was with mine! == I’m so glad almost all of your tests have come back normal. == Wow, long wait for the neuro appointment. I will pray that the problem will fade away in the meantime and the appointment won’t be necessary. == You sure hit the nail on the head with your comment re “stress and uncertainty and the degeneration of the human race”. == Poor Sunday – I hope she is keeping comfortable at least. == No, our weather is not following normal patterns. Or rather, historical patterns. We may be creating new normal now…

Annie – My best wishes to your SIL. == Big congrats on your 2 year sobriety anniversary! Wouldn’t have expected a bar to be a place for a bunch of non-drinkers to gather, but where you gonna go to see a band play?? Anyway, that sounded fun, and I agree with Shad, you looked gorgeous in that FB photo. == And a big congrats on your weigh-in this morning – awesome! You are just killing it kiddo! == Be careful when you go to Ikea – you might find plenty you like… == Re the tv show Outlander – I read the first few books in the series many years ago and liked them, but heck were they long books! I never did continue with them. Anyway, that was a big part of the draw. That and they were pretty much in the historical romance genre (but not of the fluffy variety), with a time travel twist. The tv series is well done – beautiful scenery of Scotland in season 1 and gorgeous costumes in Season 2. If you aren’t interested in history (Scotland, England, France), it might not be your thing, but there is a lot of violence and nudity, which might keep you interested, LOL. If you liked Downton Abbey, you might like this (but it’s certainly not PBS!!), but there is a lot of political scheming involved. I’ve become much more interested in history since reading those books so long ago, but I’m still not interested much in the political side of things yet I do find the show interesting. Enough rambling. Get the dvds from the library and give it a look.

Susie - Good job getting the walks in while the meetings went on. == Yes, I do like not having commitments on the weekends, especially after having several full weekends. Enjoy your weekend...when it finally arrives.

Hello Ceej & Happy!

==
Did a BE workout last night. Bf & I are having dinner with my mom tonight. I had one of the quarterly "Catch-ups" with the boss this afternoon. Generally awkward, as usual, but it went alright I guess.

That's it, will post before this gets lost. Posting from the train, anything can happen.
