Default No, thanks, I'll just have tuna...

So, a tiny little NSV for me this weekend. It was my friend's birthday, and he asked me to make my mom's famous Chicken and Rice meal for his birthday dinner instead of us all going out. This is my favorite meal in the whole world. So, I cooked and cooked for about an hour, I guess. I made the chicken and rice, and broccoli and buttermilk biscuits and a desert. And I didn't eat ANY of it. I watched my two friends enjoy it while I ate a 3 oz package of tuna instead. And I resisted the desert, too!

I suppose I probably could have tried to eat a little of it, but it's not terribly healthy (cooked with butter and such), and I knew with it being my very favorite, I would have had a hard time controlling the portion size, etc. So, I just opted to not tempt myself at all.

I guess this isn't that big of a deal, but the scale victories have been a bit few and far between lately, so i needed to remember something good I've done, at least!

That is a big deal.
Way to use that will power. We all know how difficult it can be to turn away one of your favorite dishes.
Keep up the good work!

That takes a lot of will power, so don't diminish it by saying it's not a big deal. It IS a big deal. Way to go!
