Aww, thanks for the encouragement! You're doing great too...and giving me good ideas for things to eat! Pastrami, I hadn't even thought of that...sounds sooooo good! Oh I like veggie meats too...well, some...what brand veggie sausage do you like? I tried some veggie "chicken wings" once and they were really yucky. But I do like Boca Burgers and Boca Sausages. This morning I made sure to eat breakfast (turkey bacon and, I broke down and had scrambled egg beaters too. At this point I'm almost willing to eat ANY of the foods I didn't used to like!) and immediately had a salad when I came home, and three sugar free twizzlers. I think I'm gonna have some of the leftover shrimp to really knock out any ideas of breaking my diet! So how are you doing as far as cravings? Is it just me? It's kind of difficult right now. How about your Hubby, how's he doing? Well, I'm off to EAT some more! Lol* Keep up the great work over there!

Hi BrunetteBunny
The veggie sausage that I like are the Morning Star veggie patties. I cook them in the oven until they are nice and crisp on the outside so it tastes more like a yummy real sausage.
Well, hubby and I are going extreme. We have decided that the shakes that we are drinking with our meals are going to be primarily our food source.
Back in 2000 I did this program through my doctors office and was able to lose weight but ended up with rapid weight loss that caused gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed and never went back on the program because I had tasted REAL FOOD ha ha.
So, recently my hubby and I got some of the shakes and have been having them here and there for snack replacements. We started talking about maybe doing the whole program that I did back in 2000.
I called the clinic and they are running the orientation tomorrow night and the new class starts on Thursday. Both hubby and I will be going.
Our primary source of food will be shakes and we do get fruit and veggies. They do have some entrees too - not very many to choose from and some bars but I don't like the bars - I think I ate too many of them years ago and now I can't look at another one. This will help me with my portion control. I need to do something where it's VERY strict and portion control. Plus I get one and a half hour class on Thursdays in a support group - so happy hubby will be there with me. I will still offer you all the support that I can give you!

Best of luck to you and your hubby, MikeysMom. I cannot imagine living on shakes!

Brunnette Bunny, be careful of veggie burgers on Phase I. Some of them have stuff like rice and are best left to Phase II.

Thanks Ruthxxx - I did read the labels on the veggie burgers, thank you, and since my Hubby doesn't like them I didn't plan on eating them anyhow! Thanks for the advice though!

Awww mikeysmommy - well, I'm sad you're off the beach, but I wish you and your Hubby lots of luck on your new program!
