We have drizzly rain here as the cold front is moving through. The prediction for tomorrow while we are out picking up canned food is for temps in the upper 30'sF with 20mph winds. Wind chill will make it feel like the 20's. Our den has almost 300 houses that we need to pick up bags at (and knock on doors for those who didn't put a bag out). And then since I am one of the leaders running this, we will be busy all afternoon collecting the cans that the other dens bring and delivering them to the food bank.

Tonight I have to work but hopefully it will just be for a few hours. My weight so far is cooperating and I'm down 2 pounds since the beginning of the month. It will take awhile to get back down where I were but I am getting there.

Morning girls! Just a quick pop-in. TGIF! I woke up more tired today than I think I did Monday morning. It's going to be a long day. Work until 4, teach piano until 5, shop until I drop, and then social activities. Whew! Then tomorrow, I'm going to sleep in, work out, and go to my friend's bridal shower. Going to pray that I can resist cake, and Lord help me if they have a cheese tray....

So here's my exciting news: I got my first gig as a book editor! It's kind of been in the works for awhile, and I didn't want to get my hopes up really high or anything, but as of last night, we've discussed pay and everything. The book needs to be ready to be published by August 1. It's pretty good money, and something I REALLY enjoy doing, and I can do it freelance. What's better than sitting in the living room with your laptop on your lap, editing something that someone else wrote? So I'm doing a little happy dance today.

Hubby and I have had the creeping crude this last week and are finally starting to feel better. We are going to try to go to the gym tonight and see if we really are better or need to wait a couple more days before working out again.

Sunlite- There predicting the snow will come right over the Upper Cape and the islands the outer cape is going to be [fromYarmouth,out to P town]safe with RAIN.

Batmomm-We retired & moved up to the Cape 8 yrs ago from New York.There lots of things to do for the Seniors up here.Its the young folk have problems,no decent jobs for them,except in the summer seasonals.

Hi everyone, just stopping in after lunch. Thank you so much to all of you who offered your prayers and words of support! Physically I'm feeling very cruddy, and it will take a little while for the physical process to be complete. Hopefully it will be over sooner rather than later. I went out with DH last night and out with my research group to lunch today so that took my mind off things just a bit...I'm just hoping to have a quiet restful weekend. I need it after such a tumultuous week!

WOW -What a day. I went to work early today & the other mgr went home sick. So I did not get my lunch until 2. At 3 I had to sit in on interviews.....The Assest Protection team was in my store & I was one of the few (sadly few little few) that wasn't giving out random discounts, so I got to be a witness. I was so sick afterwards. There's going to be like 12 people losing their jobs because of the stupid things that they did! ONE OF THEM IS A FELLLOW MGR!! What an idiot! I felt so bad for them. They would just look at me & cry. I wanted to cry too, but the head guy told me to "just listen & take notes." So tomorrow should be VERY interesting...

Kiko - Thanks for putting your bag out. It makes it so much easier when we don't have to knock on doors. It probably wouldn't be so bad tomorrow if it wasn't so windy. Oh, well, we're stocked up on hot chocolate, gloves and hats.
