Default Football time in Tennessee!

Well, we are having a football party on Saturday. If I take the reigns I can make several things that are appropriate. I am on phase 1 for this week, but am okay with choosing phase 2 things to serve.

Any suggestions/favorites to serve a crowd?

Reduced Fat Triscuits with cheese slices. You could include other crackers for those not on South Beach but choose ones you won't be tempted with.

A vegetable tray is always good.
Popcorn
Ham and cheese rollups

If you want something hot, I like to make cheese quesadillas with RF mozzarella and WW tortillas. I use flour tortillas for my son who doesn't care for the La Tortilla WW taste.

I tend to love spicey food, so here's what I would do.

Take a casserole dish, oval baker, or whatever you have and layer refried beans, maybe some jalapenos, and some lf cream cheese. I usually sprinkle some OP chipotle seasoning in mine. Bake it. Then top with lettuce, black olives, green onions, lf cheese, diced tomatoes, salsa, and ff sour cream (or whatever garnishes you like.)

Serve with whole wheat Wheat Thins or Reduced-fat Trisciuts. Just makes a nice layered dip that people can enjoy, but you can enjoy it too if you're on Ph2.

Also, any of the Ph1 or Ph2 desserts. I tend to like the "Decadent Fudge Brownies" or whatever. (Making those tonight.) And believe it or not, the Black Bean Brownies are good, but Terry won't eat those anymore because I told him what was in them.

Good luck, and Happy Football! (Go ND in honor of my deceased Uncle Mikey who played football there.)

veggies with lf/ff salmon spread, hummus, and/or lf/ff ranch (I use Uncle Dan's mix, which has no sugar)
fruit tray or skewers
chicken and/or beef and/or pork satay with dipping sauce
greek salad skewers

for more of a meal, try:
chili w/ww sourdough bread
homemade pizza with a ww crust
curry w/brown or basmati rice and sliced green onions, hard boiled egg, chopped fruit, and/or nuts on top

good luck!
