Veggies are a terrible problem for me because I can't digest them well. If I eat a salad as a meal without a LOT of protein or bready carbs I have a stomach ache for days. If I eat mostly veggies in a meal, same thing. Gas, hurty tummy, nausea. I have fewer problems with fruit, (tomatos are a fruit, BTW), so I can eat those in moderation and V8 is just about the only vegetarian 'meal' I can have without problems.
Drinking lots of coffee or tea, or eating them painfully spicy seems to help too. Maybe I just don't make enough acid to digest them well? I don't know.
