Red face Back on the Beach

HI every one back on the beach once again. I was successful the first time I was on it but I got lost and gain most of the weight back. I am doing it different this time, I am getting organized and trying different recipes so that I don't get bored and stray from the South beach path. I am on day 4 and doing well. I tried to Taco bake and it was great. Any one have any breakfast solutions that don't have boiled or scrambled eggs?

You can't have the english muffins on phase 1.

Have you tried the quiche cups...they are really good and you get a lot of veggies in them.

Thumbs down

Thanks Gals, I tried the quiche to go cups, did not like the eggs. Today I tried the Bacos soy sausage, did not like them much. 9 days left on phase 1 I can do it, I will just keep trying different stuff.

My new favorite breakfast is black beans with a little sour cream (lite or ff) and some salsa. I usually have two eggs with it but since you don't like eggs the beans would be fine along with some turkey bacon or sausage. I also have a glass of V-8 with that.

Breakfast doesn't have to look like breakfast you can eat leftovers from the night before or just roll up some turkey or ham with cheese and some vegis. A protein shake would be good.

Sonyao, I was just going to say what Bunna said. Some of us have very unconventional breakfasts. Like chili from the night before.

I got in the habit of eating.. prepare your stomachs... turkey bacon, and pickles. hehe. Sounds really gross.. but I was finding the turkey bacon gave me indigestion, so I thought I'd add a veggie.. but somehow ended up with pickles. Another thing I do is make sorta omlets, with lots of veggies, lean ham bacon stuff (has no sugar or wheat), and low fat cheese. I dislike the taste of eggs, this sorta works for me

My favorite alternative to the morning egg blues is Breakfast Cheesecake. It's protein packed and is great for all phases. I'll have to post the recipe in the breakfast section. Something I've been meaning to do for awhile now....ohh well. I'll get to it, I promise!

Thanks, I am going to have to try the black beans and salsa. That sounds really good. I actually had the taco bake for breakfast last week end.
