Wink Watch out the beached whale has arrived

Hello every one my name is tori and im 23 yeas old soon to be 24. I had my son 10 months ago. was put n bed rest at 4 months d/t preclampsia. so i wasnt small then by no means i was 195 i dont know how much i weighed b4 i delivered but one week after i was 252 pounds at x mas we had some pictures taken we got them back in jan i was 220 pound then and i looked at the pictures funny isnt how when u see a picture its like u never imagined u looked that big. so i hit the atkins diet hard core for 2.5 months and in that time i lost some major weight i got down to 168 however thats just one diet i cant see me spending the rest of my life on no fruit im mean comeon people. so i strayed and pretty much ate what i wanted gained back to 216 september the 19th i sat down at work and read the south beach book and the good carb bad carb mini book. i am at the end of week 1 phase one and have lost 8 pounds( mostly water im sure ) but none the less its a loss. I have been doing pilates for dummies i bought it cause i thought well its slow i can pick up easier it will be easy omg the first 2 days i couldnt hardly move lol.but now its going good i walk my son one mile every other morning in the stroller then when i come home at night i run a mile usually between6-7mph steady then i do the 35 minute pilates. i know the beach wont show weight loss as fast as atkins did for me and that will prob disappoint me at first but like they say those who lose it slow keep it off and there is no race here now i just want to be healthy for my baby. thanks for letting me rammble on . and congrat on all ur all success.

Tori - I also recently bought the Pilates weight loss for dummies....It's hard, isn't it? I found that the more often I do it, the easier it is.

Keep up the good work, I know you can do it!!

Tori, Welcome to the sand! Sounds like you are off to a great start! With all your exercising you will probably notice inches alot more than pounds. Which for me is just as well! tee-hee I'm all about size more than weight.
