Default Friday Fireworks 4th of July Beach Chat

Good morning, sipping my smoothie before heading out to work. Hope everyone celebrates their independence today. Hopefully I can break free from anxiety stress grazing! Lately it one thing after the next. Stressing over the interview later this month is one of my issues. Had my mammo and although not bad results not good either. My dr referred me to a specialist. Since it is not an emergency my appointment isn't until August 11. The radiology report hinted as if it was not suspicious, but then used terms to cover himself as if it were. For example, no mass is visible however dense tissue and micro calcification formation may be hiding one. So even though I ate a box of trips cutis maybe the scale won't realize I did....oh wait the scale did lol

Phase 1.5 it is!!! Not giving up my summer fruit for a few pounds...yet

Thanks for listening. Have a great day!!!

Jekel, I can't blame you! Hopefully it's just dense tissue, and that's the end of it. LOL....I'm supposed to get a mammogram, but I figure when I can feel my ribs through mine, it's not too bad. Never mind I look for them every day on dogs....

(hope your fourth shift goes okay!) I wouldn't (and ain't) giving up on fruit either.

Today I hope to mop the downstairs floor, and I'll leave soon to beat the crowds at the grocery store. We plan on having a few friends over for dinner and then watch the show from the field behind our house. I'm trying not to eat grains, so I'm figuring out crowd friendly salads. (oops! I guess just because I'm not eating dessert doesn't mean I shouldn't get it for them!!)

Have a great fourth everyone! Happy Birthday America!

I forgot to say two things - our high today is 74, and it is blissfully cool this AM!! Also, I wanted a new computer since our laptop is old (for a computer) and I want to start doing some things at home, so now I have a new touch screen laptop. NEATO!

Good morning from a cooled down house. It felt so good to need a quilt last night.

Jennifer, I totally understand your anxiety and wish you could get a follow-up appointment sooner. I went through the same thing about ten years ago and it was nothing.

The schoolwork (1012 pieces!) is now all sorted and ready for judging. What a difference it makes to have an assistant! Now to firm up judgement day with the judge. I drove to town to get copies of the police checks we did on our last lot of dog handlers and even had time for a backroads detour to an old Mill that was for sale.

but I think I've found latest escape route and blocked it off. "Houdini" was allowed out off the long lead and instantly went to check it out. He came back quickly and sat on the deck plotting his next excavation project.

Time to lug the trash to the road - pick-up is a day later because of Canada Day. Barb is picking me up at 10:30 to go to town to a restaurant supply store and then we go to lunch at a classy small restaurant in Brockville. See! There are other places than the darned Chinese Buffet!

Wishing all my American pals a great Independence Day!

Good morning! I'm lazily sipping coffee and easing into the day on this 4th of July morning. I have all my windows and doors open to catch the delightfully cool breeze, but we had some tremendous storms come through last night that did quite a bit of damage. Thank goodness we were left unscathed!

I'm off to the grocery store early to beat the crowds, too, Tammy, but we're going to play it safe and have our holiday celebration tomorrow.

Jennifer, I can sympathize with you regarding your mammo. I have very dense tissue and fibrocystic breasts, and almost always have to go back for further tests. Have faith though, that most of the time it's nothing.

Ruth, now you and Barb behave yourselves today!

Well, I'd better finish this coffee and have breakfast (yogurt w/granola and a fresh nectarine), if I want to beat the crowds at the store!

Be safe on this holiday weekend, and enjoy the day!

Good morning, chicks! We had friends over last night for dinner: the steak and green beans were OP but not so much the corn on the cob. Like Jennifer with her fruit, I figure I'm allowed a couple ears each summer. It was so sweet I didn't even need salt and butter. Tammy, I made the Phase 1 Decadent Fudge Brownies for dessert and everyone raved about them.

Not sure what our 4th plans are; I did my laundry and cleaning yesterday so I will relax today.

Jennifer, hope your day is uneventful. It's tough but try not to stress too much about the mammo until you get clarification.

Tammy, woohoo on your laptop!! What kind is it? Mine is 5 years old and still works fine but I dread the day it goes since I've been so happy with it. Enjoy your day!

Ruth, I seem to remember some saying about "many hands..." Glad you were able to sort the schoolwork.

Cottage, we missed them but there were some bad storms south of us yesterday.

Ok, just about smoothie time. Happy 4th to all!

I'm wearing my (almost) red, white and blue as I head off to work this afternoon. Not sure if DH and I will do anything special today.

Yesterday we tried a little hike. Once I get the injection and start PT, I won't be hiking at all. So I thought I'd get a few in now. My hip ached the whole time but it was nice to get out and move.

Jennifer - Fingers crossed. Keep us posted.

Have a great day.
