Default SBD Chat - Monday, February 20

Coffee, sunshine predicted but also a bummer day because Linda leaves to go home. The dogs and I will be very lonely. We had a great visit and talked a lot - were your ears burning?

Time for breakfast and maybe I'll get dressed and crank up the day.

Happy No Moaning Monday!

Good Morning

I know you both had a great time, Ruth. It seems only yesterday that she arrived. Say hello to Linda and safe travels.

I'm still upstairs and need to go make coffee. A busy workday here and I have paperwork that needs to happen before I leave. I could have done it yesterday but just didn't feel like it.

I'll pack my own lunch since the restaurant doesn't have great choices for me. Last week the owner said, "you bring your own bread?"

Have a great day everyone!

Ruth and Linda - Hope you had a wonderful visit with lots of great memories!! I bet Ruth might need a nap, and safe travels to Linda!!

Debbie - I only realized a short time ago you worked at a restaurant (how did I miss that). What kind? What do you do?! That's impressive you bring your own meal!

Today is a day of school, so I'm bringing the kids with me to work...hope I don't regret that decision! We might have friends over this afternoon, and/or make some cookies (uh-oh...what kind don't I like). I need to finish my grocery list and menu as well, esp. to make sure I stay on track!

Have a great day!

Good morning!

Ruth and Linda - Hope you had tons of fun. It would be interesting to compare notes about all the chicks and SBD.

Debbie - Paperwork, ugh. The only time I even eat bread anymore is at a restaurant! "Whole grain" only, but we know that's dubious.

Twynn - I'm not sure there is any kind of hot-from-the-oven cookie that I don't like! Good luck!

Gym workout with my mom today. Errands. Supposed to rain here, I think. My eating has been great lately. Even won out over massive cravings one day recently. But, without cardio, I can't seem to drop my holiday and "lack of cardio's calorie burn" gain. Sigh. I am not overeating so hate the idea of eating less. Guess I need to suck it up.

I forgot it was a holiday.

Good morning DW is sleeping in a bit so I've got a little unexpected downtime. I'm already on my second cup

Ruth & Linda - so glad you had a good visit. sorry it was so short. I'm sure you two have nothing more interesting to talk about than all of us Safe travels Linda!

Debbie - You are a rock star! Just saying

Twynn - Hope all goes well today at work.

Karen- Congratulations on the eating success. I swear it's just harder to get those few lbs off in the winter.

Usual stuff today - DW has PT later and I'll run a few errands while she is there. I've got chores and some work to do. I'm going to play with a recipe for carrot cake treats made from juice pulp. Did I mention the 25lb bag of juicing carrots I bought. I just can't resist a bargain. You're all invited for carrot juice.

Tomorrow we are out early because DW has another procedure in the morning. Of course they want us there at 6 am and we have an hour drive It should be easy, it's the same sort of anesthesia they use for colonoscopy but with MG nothing is ever the way it is for other people. hoping the anesthesia doesn't muck up the improvements she's been making.

Hope your Monday is a good one whether you're working or have a long weekend.

Good morning! I slept til after 7 this morning  I am kinda lucky that my winter work hours are 11 am to 6 pm, so that does allow alot of loose time in the morning, but..that was late.

Ruth - sorry that you miss Linda already! It does seem like we were just reading about her just arriving. Your doggies will keep you company

Debbie - I have to be 'in the mood' to do paperwork, but mine is simple, just monthly household bills. I do need to have a nice ballpoint pen, though Yes, you told us of working in the restaurant..also curious because I"ve been in foodservice for (gulp) 26 years. Yes, when you bring your own food, it raises eyebrows of both co-workers and clientele, it seems! (if the clientele see my eating my own stuff)

Twynn, good luck with having the kids at work, that's good that's an option on days like this. Oh goodness...you are brave to even think about making cookies!

Karen - have a good workout with your mom! sorry about the thought of having to eat even less. Is it cold in Kansas also?

CyndiM - hope your day goes smoothly. You are very creative, thinking how to use carrot pulp! let us know how they come out..I am not that far away, you know I see blue sky to the direction of Montpelier, hope you have sunshine too.

Well I had an evening of too much dinner...then I caved and had two servings of DH's ice cream (well it's called frozen yogurt but its' the same stuff really, off limits to me) and a couple spoonfuls of Hersheys syrup. I have resisted his desserts that hang around here for months, even before South Beaching. No good excuse except I was feeling beat up from work, and it was there. I'm going to be kind to myself (but stern) and just pick up and re-continue.

Hope everyone has a great day

good morning

Ruth - don't be sad just think how lucky you were to have this time together.

Debbie - you have such great willpower, I don't know if I could handle working in a restaurant.

Twynn - enjoy your time with the kids.

Cyndi - glad Julie is getting better. Go to bed early.

Holly - today is a new day, right.

Karen - good for you for resisting all the goodies. I'm still fighting to lose what I gained during the holidays but at least there is no dreadful winter gain.

me - so I am much better. I didn't have a cold but a week ago during the night I got vertigo and that has put me out of commission for quite a while. Its been two years since the last time and I tell you chicks unless you have had that happen to you, you just can't understand. Having family for lunch today so got to go.
take care
Sophie
