Kayla
it's nice to know your name. Thanks for starting this thread.
to you and StringBean on your SB success. I hope we meet some others who don't usually post.
It took me 6 years to lose 63 pounds
and after I gained 20+back last winter I knew that at my age (51) after going up and down for years that I had to make a change for the better or just "eat c***and live with it". Fortunately, I ended up here at 3FC on the
and I see light at the end of the tunnel.
I am realistic. I'm not going to lose the weight, then head back into junk-land. I already know what happens there, so there is no denial about that anymore . This is a lifestyle change. Wish it had come 20 years ago but I'm just grateful to be living it now. I know there are many who don't find their answer.
What I like about SB is that I can eat like a healthy human being as long as I stay within certain limits. I can lose weight without weighing, counting, exchanging, starving, depriving, or caving because my "diet" has made me so miserable that I'd rather not care. I have never felt better!
When I get really hungry and need a treat-I go to my favorite diner and order a western omelet, no cheese, hold the potatoes and toast, and add a large salad. It seems to rev me up and keep me going.
One other thing-I can't eat what my hubby eats. Never could and never will. (but I sure tried-for years and years) On SB, we eat the same dinner, then he heads to snack
land. I no longer sit on my hands and
I just don't want that stuff any more.
