Good morning. I was up way too late last night listening to the stories from Cindy and Richard's trip. You'd think they'd be exhausted after their long flight, but they were wired! They got back to the farm around 5, and as the car came through their gates, the girls rolled down the windows and were leaning out screaming my name.
Needless to say, I was deluged with hugs and kisses and had a child on my lap the rest of the night.
Richard's parents made dinner for all of us, and we had a wonderful time relaxing around the table listening to all the adventures they had. It sounds like it was a spectacular trip, and one the girls will remember the rest of their lives.
So I don't know what's on the agenda for today. It depends on how tired everyone is, I guess, and Cindy was leaving the day open. It's going to be hot as Hades out, so swimming may be in the plans. We have to do some harvesting in their garden, too. The girls were delighted to discover the zucchini, cucumbers and tomatoes that were ready to be picked. I'll have the girls make us a big salad for lunch.
Right now I need more coffee.
Sounds like a busy week ahead for you again,
Ruth! You can never have too much food around when teenagers are in the house, believe me! They're
always hungry! And I bet they really enjoy your cooking.
Loriann, I hope your second interview pans out! It sounds like the ideal situation for you!
