  • Morning chicks. Starting new thread. Worried Rhonda might not have power after watching the news this morning.
  • Sorry I have been MIA. Since returning to KY, I've been really busy. I painted my bedroom and bath. Lots going on around here.

Hope all are doing well. Will try to get in here more often. Have a great day.
  • Thanks Pam. We've missed you.

I've got power; we got only rain and wind. But Cleburne, my home town, got hit...not nearly like Granbury, but it was substantial.

I'm going to call Sandra in about 1/2 an hour to see if I can reach her.
  • Sandra's OK...said she'd come here and report in..
  • Hi there. We're still here. I don't think we had much damage except for a few broken tree limbs. I'll be back later. Got to get off line right now. We have an appointment in town. Love !
  • Sorry I was MIA also as I'm having problems with my eyes and I don't want to be on the computer,as it to bright for me to type or post.Going in on Tues to a Retinal specialist I have flashes and floaters in my left eye.

Will let you know whats going on with me,and what the doctor will say and do.

Hope every had a wonderful Mothers Day and now soon to be Memorial Day Weekend. Can't believe how time is flying by,we are going to be 1/2 thought the year.

    Hugs Maryann
  • We're home. After our appointment we drove around the countryside surveying destruction. What we saw was mainly downed trees/limbs. Our neighbor on the west side of our property lost a large barn. He had a couple of vehicles parked inside. Looks like they are all right. That barn was around 100 yds from our house. It was a scary night indeed.

Pam and Maryann, it's good to see you both here. Been missing ya.

Rhonda, thank you for checking on us. We got other phone calls, too. Made us feel loved.

I had meatloaf/green beans/dry baked potato for lunch. I'm doing well OP. My dear friend from Cleburne has joined and we're working the plan together. That helps. I need to get my steps back up to 10,000 per day. I have been lazy this week. Life goes on.

    Have a great day, all.
  • Sandra, didn't know the storms were close to you. I heard northern TX and I think that is where Rhonda lives. I thought you were further south. Glad you are okay too. We get a lot of tornadoes in my neck of the woods too.

Maryann, hope nothing too serious with your eyes.

Rhonda, glad you are okay too.
  • Thank you, Pam. We're about 80 miles south of Rhonda.
  • Good to see you back Maryann.

Food poisoning is effective for weight loss I have absolutely no desire for food. I have eaten cheerios, bananas, yogurt, and that's about it. Oh, yes, ginger ale.

Sandra, can you guys dig a shelter?
  • Sandra, I am so thankful for you and Curtis being safe! How scary!!
  • Good Morning Chicks! Sandra, I'm SOOOO happy that you and Rhonda are ok.

Busy, busy here. Yesterday we went out to meet up with some St. Louis Scottie friends and Brodie had a grooming. Today we have air conditioner tune up and errands and baking for yet another birthday party tomorrow. Sheesh.

Good luck, Mary Ann. Hope it's not serious. Eye issues are so scary.

    Hey Sloan! Hey Pam!
  • Vickie, can I come to your party? I'm so ready for something good to eat.

And to my retirement? I will be tutoring 9 more days. I couldn't resist the chance to be with those kids some more.

Rhonda, are you feeling much better?
  • I'm fine now...thanks. I ate today.

Sandra, you couldn't resist the students. Really? Really? I've just never had that problem!!
  • My friend in Ottawa died late last night.

I've been working in the yard, we're going to a wedding today, and life goes on.
