It has been 3 years...

  • Since I was on 3FC (2008/2009). Basically, at the point, I was trying to lose weight and couldn't. Meanwhile, all of the board people were losing tons. I was on here for a while and watched one girl go from 270 to 170 while all i did was gain. So I had to go away. The lack of progress was...

Yeah, so in that time frame, I didn't even try to lose weight. Not really at least. I'm known for gaining and losing the same 20/30/40 lbs over and over again. If I have somewhere to go, I will lose it and then schedule a binge eating right after. It was a vicious cycle. o____O

In 2010 after gaining 10lbs in vacation, I went to baseball game. We were right behind the dugout. I ended up on the jumbotron. I about fainted. Goodness, the jumbo tron adds about 72lbs just to my face alone. After that, I started working out, but that binge eating thing...yeah. It's a problem.

I've basically worked out every day for 2 and a half years. But because I would binge on the weekend, I was only able to maintain at 260.

So then late last year, after the holidays, I weigh in at 282...again. I remember being at Christmas breakfast over our eggs and grits and biscuits and turkey bacon...I was like, "Look, that's it. I'm going to lose this weight this year. I'm about to be 29 and I've never been a hoe for halloween. This year, I will be working on my hoe status'.

And so it started. I lost 50lbs in the first 5 months of the year before stalling. By Oct, I had gone back up from 229 to 242. Um...no, not again. Lost 22 lbs in 6 weeks before a doctors appt.

So now I have these new goals...210 by new year and I want ONEDERLAND by valentines day. I want that so bad. And then I have this 5k color run that I have to do...and I'm in a group with a bunch of ex gymnast...why do I do this to myself? But ultimately, I want to do the Nike half marathon in October.

Ok, that was long winded. I could have just virtually waved and said hi...but I'm a wordy person.
  • You can do it! Don't worry about the past because it is now in the past and you can't do anything about! However, now that you are holding yourself accountable you can move on and make that NYE mini goal and later hit overland!

    Keep up the good work!
  • Just by reading your post, you seem entertaining. I am intrigued. Good luck on reaching all your goals!

Just realized I posted in this section and didnt realize it, hope thats alright.
  • Hugs!

    You can totally do this!!!!
    Keep on keepin' on!
  • Welcome back. You know what to do and what not to do. You just have to find the desire to do what you know you have to and keep at it. Any downward progress is good progress. Don't let the possibility of missing a time based goal be a set back. I'm all in favor of saying "I'm going to lose X pounds by the end of the month." Or whatever. Many are not. I found that having that sort of goal kept me on plan. I hope it works for you and if it doesn't, on occasion, then I hope that you recover quickly just keep on plugging away. The occasional binge isn't what does us in. It the non-stop binge that does. Get back on plan asap after a single bad choice. Remember how it feels to do it on plan and let that push you forward. You can do this.

  • Thanks for the welcome everyone!
  • "Here, have a cookie!"

"No thanks, I'm still working on my hoe status."

That is exactly what I was saying all year. Like serious, to going out to eat, to skipping the gym, "Sorry guys, I'm working on my hoe status."

Sadly, I missed hoe status by 30lbs, but next year...man, I'm getting the pieces of my dominatrix costume ready.
  • Hi! It's time to forgive yourself for your eating in the past, really. PLan, plan and plan some more. So glad you posted!!!
