  • Dec. 21: two freezing cold 40 min dog walks (2.25 mi each), 20 min stair mill, 20 min rower, 20 min elliptical

    The more miserable the weather, the more calories you burn, right?
  • Saturday, Dec. 22nd:

    60 minute spin class with weight intervals
    60 minute Pilates mat class

    Classes are packed on the weekend before Christmas. And the gym is open on both Christmas eve and Christmas day, thanks to our sizable Jewish membership, so if it snows, I'll be fine. I kind of like a good Christmas morning run, though, I must admit. It's never as quiet & I never feel such beneficence as I do then running past the sleeping houses.
  • December 22: 60 minute DVD (P90X Kempo X)
    45 minutes weight lifting (Arms and shoulders)
  • Dec. 22: 15 min elliptical, spin class
  • Sunday, Dec. 23rd:

    15 minutes Stairmaster stepmill, the usual
    60 minutes shoulders, biceps and triceps routine
    45 minute spin class, pure spin, no weights, fast and light and maniacal, as the gym's director took over the class because the regular instructor was out of town for the holidays

    I couldn't go to my usual 4:30 class due to scheduling issues so I was proud that I dragged myself to the 6:30 pm class. It didn't end until after 8 pm, so by the time I showered and sat down to dinner it was 9 pm. Very late for me but I was starving.

    50 minutes weight lifting (legs and back)
    5 minutes foam rolling
  • Dec. 24: spin class taught by the Grinch and Cindy Loo Who
  • December 25: 4 mile walk with dogs 1:03:53
  • Christmas Day

    60 minutes elliptical, random intervals, resistance at nine, me alone except for the desk attendant, who doesn't celebrate (I think she's Russian Orthodox, as their calendar doesn't overlap).
  • Dec. 25: 40 min dog walk (2.25 mi)

    back to the gym tomorrow!
