Ok so I am new to this site and I have decided that I am going to lose 100lbs. This seems very over whelming and have decide to set a mini-goal for myself. I am going to go out walking tonight after dinner. I am just going to do it..no more tomorrows...I am going to do it TONIGHT!! My mini-goal is to lose 5 pounds by next Tuesday. Wish me luck!
Congratulations on tackling your first day of walking!!! It's funny, but as soon as I start walking again I feel the pep in my step and wonder why in the world I ever stopped!!!
Oooh, I'm impressed you did it in the "hot, hot weather"! I hate hot weather!! I'm much more likely to be out there at 5:00 AM than any other part of the day. I really like your mini goal of just getting out there and walking.
Don't put too much pressure on yourself on to lose X amount of pounds by X date. I would instead emphasize walking more mileage in less time or just walking more mileage and for more minutes. However you want to keep track of it. Fitness goals are awesome because achieving them is within your control. The scale is not always in our control.
