Default just sayin' hi

Just saying hello--and maybe avoiding some paperwork on the desk!

It's soooooooo cold here--might actually take the stair step thing out from under the couch. This might be the first time in about 20 years I actually want to exercise--as opposed to just wanting to take a good walk to be with the dog/get out of the house/get some fresh air. Those things are actually kind of painful to me at the moment!

So I've been wanting to tell someone... A couple weeks ago I went off whole foods for like a week--had a total meltdown--ate White Castles and crappy candy bars and you name it. It had been building for a while, though--been fighting it since before the holidays. When I finally just gave in, well... Never felt so awful in my life...

Until I thought about it, and realized that was how I used to feel all the time. Wow, what a difference. And the few pounds I gained that week came off plus one almost the moment I started back on the "nuts, twigs and seeds" regimen--probably mostly water weight, but still, it's pretty amazing.

Hope all's well with you ladies. I might not have much to say, but I do check in every now and then.

Whole wheat pasta regards,

Luvmypup

Glad you are back on the wagon! I fall off every now and then and I notice a difference immediately! No energy, I feel like crap, etc! That happened to me last week and I was so happy to get back on the program monday!

Hi luvmypup,

glad you are back! Somehow I missed your post. I actually meter out some junk food to myself now and then to avoid the kind of crash you are talking about. My goal is always to eat better, not perfectly. It works for me, and my trips to the fast food wasteland become fewer and farther between. But I do feel better eating mostly whole foods, and the non-purist approach keeps me on track better.

Hope you are feeling well and detoxed! Congrats on the recovery, stepping away from the belly-bombers. That is a huge step.

Anne

Hi Luvmypup, I did the same thing, except my bad-food binge lasted months. I'm back on track, with a new level of commitment now. In addition to feeling like crud about the refined carbs and unhealthy fats from fast food, it bothers me to be giving money to what I consider a corrupt industry.

"Whole wheat pasta regards," ... ha ha ha, goof!
