I have high blood pressure being controlled with medication. I am sure that there is a genetic association because my mother and father both had high blood pressure and my maternal grandmother died of a stroke before she was 50.
I was using a wrist monitor to check my blood pressure at home and when I went to my cardiologist this week, his findings were MUCH higher than what i was getting.
