Assuming diabetes doesn't run in your family you'll probably be fine. More so if the bulk of your diet is whole foods and not processed.

Because the equation is complex to get precise results doesn't mean that the energy equation is invalid or not useful.

Of course it isn't but that doesn't mean we can't read and understand...
