If it were up to him, our cat would eat constantly. We went on vacation, and came back to find the house sitter left him an all-he-can-eat smorgasbord, and he's a chubby little man. Back to the diet for kitty.

I free feed both of my cats, but one is a growing kitten and her weight is good, and other I've been trying to put a little weight on for 2 years, but she is still only 4lb as an adult. With that being said though, I used to do pet sitting (an oh how I miss it!), I never strayed from the instruction I had for caring for someone's pets. There are so many cats and dogs that don't know when to stop eating (I can relate)
