Default Question about PCOS

Hi guys,

Just wondering, does anyone think or know if PCOS affects you mood. Basically the last few months I have had days where I feel really down and basically sometime start crying for no apparent reason! I cant really work out why this is, I have been a little stressed but dont think that its linked. Has anyone else felt like this?

Thanks!

Yes, it does!

If you google PCOS and mood, you'll find a long list of articles and websites that list how the two are related.

Yes, depression and PCOS are related. I went through a time where I was very depressed and as I lost weight I've felt better about myself and therefore felt better in general.

So effects mood. Up and down and down and up! I thought I was loosing my mind till I figured out it was my PCOS, which by the way I have always called PCOSh*t Now everyone who knows me calls it this.

I think so. I am starting realize too that I might have what's called PMDD I think. You can google it, but it always starts a few days to a week before my period. I get really depressed...angry, sad, angry...angry...lol then after I start bleeding it stops.
I think with the hormonal imbalance that comes with PCOS though it exaggerates normal women's mood swings...and that is NOT good. LOL But I understand what you mean! I hope things start to feel better for you!
