Food Commitment for 5/17/05
This is going to be a busy day for me. I start my work week off on Tuesdays and i go to my "double whammy" meeting after work. I have to pack and bring all three of my meals with me.
Breakfast
1 pk complete oatmeal
1 banana (smashed into the oatmeal so it doesn't taste like drywall compound)
4 oz veggie juice
16 oz water
Lunch
1 wheat soft shell
2 T hummus
1 cup raw veggies (carrots, cucumbers and onions)
1 apple
16 oz water
Dinner
1/2 cup brown rice
1/2 cup beans
1/4 cup tofu
1/2 cup raw veggies
16 oz water
8 oz soy milk
I don't mind eating my breakfast and lunch at work (I eat my breakfast at 6am (4am is too early for me) and then my lunch at 12pm), I feel kind of uncomfortable eating my dinner between meetings though (I attend a Newcomers Session that focuses on the first three steps and then a regular OA meeting right after). But I really can't wait until I get home to eat because that isn't until 9pm (my bed time, which I am past tonight). Oh well, going to any lengths I guess.

Classic southern dish, which I did not grow up on though I am from Atlanta. I make it with brown rice, blackeye peas & turkey bacon, with some onion and hot stuff.

mmmmm... that DOES sound good!
Is anyone here interested in a recipe thread? Or would that be too controversial.

Since OA doesn't endorse food plans, it might be better suited listed in the ED section.
Either way, I would be very much interested in a recipe thread!
I was just told today by my sponsor that God wants "us" to enjoy our food, not abuse it or use in a way that is beyond it's intended purpose which is to nurish and sustain "us".

Oh, Cacky!! I just started a recipe thread, and I accidentally deleted your recipe! I'm so sorry, sweetie!
I'll start a recipe thread in ED. Curse away.
