I guess I'll start it off. After a few days of research and some mental prep I am on day one today. I'm pretty excited for this program. It reminds me of Tosca Reno's clean eating approach, but what I really like about this is that it is a bit more defined. It tells you exactly what to eat and exactly what workout you need to do each day.
A few challenges for me:
I used to be a vegetarian and have for the last few years been eating seafood. I don't however eat any land animals (I have had personal relationships with cows and to eat them would be like eating a dog to me) Once I started fishing again and finding myself willing and able to kill fish I started eating fish. I do not feel the same about other animals and for that reason I don't eat them (I know its weird). Anyways this looks like its going to be pretty difficult to get the kinda protein I need to be on this program, but I will try my darndest!
Also I run, usually do a few half marathons a year, and running with my dog is one of his favorite things. The program has you do no cardio for the first month. This I am unwilling to follow. I will however cut down my running to no more than 2-3 miles, and probably only run 3 days a week. I don't want to sacrifice my puppies happiness for the muscle gains I need to be doing. I hope this doesn't have too much negative effects on my results.
Besides these two challenges I feel pretty good about this program. Today is the first day and already I have noticed that eating these frequent meals with an emphasis on protein has really been good for keeping the cravings at bay.
Well good luck to anyone else on this program! Here's to 12 weeks of success and strength building, fat whittling, progress!
