Question Restaurants

This girl who is new to all this coming off the Medifast program would like to know what restaurants you like to go to and what do you usually like to have.
My dear husband and I love to go out occassionally. It's our date night going out and we just love it.

Thanks,
Your new friend in Colorado,
Melanie

Melsie-Hi
A good resturant to try is Applebee's they have a ww menu, which does all the points counting for you. Just be careful for the hidden points, the cheese, croutons, etc...make sure you ask for what you need, like getting your dressing on the side,{dip your fork tip in the dressing first} Also stay away from that darn bread basket, just plain trouble It's possible to stay on program and enjoy a delicious meal out, I find that if I stick to grilled or baked, and steamed vegtables is a winner for me. Good Luck and Enjoy

You can go pretty much anywhere and enjoy yourself while on WW! That's the great thing about this plan, is that nothing is off-limits.

Applebee's is great and all, but I often get tired of it and want to go different places. Panera has a lot of options that aren't too high in points (though they also have a lot that are very, very high). I'll go there and get a bowl of soup and half a sandwich. There's a kebab shop down the street from my house I like to go to too, they offer yummy grilled kebabs on a bed of rice with a side of grilled veggies, it's awesome!

A website you might want to check out is dwlz.com - a woman named Dottie runs it and she has points values for almost any restaurant you could care to step foot into. I often check with her before I go anywhere, just to get an idea of what foods will fit into my remaining points for the day.

Hi Melsie! My brother and sister-in-law are doing Medifast and are doing great, I wonder about the maintenance though, he's definitely lost alot fast...

anyway, I have learned to check out some options before you go, I'm a good one for looking something up after and cringing at how many points it turns out to be.

I try and choose seafood (if that's what you like) and steer away from creamy sauces...also, think about working around your date night by saving your flex points (FPs) for those nights, WW wants you to live your life, have fun with your DH and enjoy those dates!

There's a post on here somewhere about eating out and such, I'll see if I can find it and give you a link so you can get some more ideas.

We get chinese takeout sometimes and split a large shrimp and broccolli with white rice instead of getting those combo meals with the fried rice, it ends up being just enough for the two of us, when I think we used to each eat our own combo meals....yeeps!!

Hi Melsie - I guess I didn't post what I typed before I looked for this thread...oops...never mind, I guess I did...sheesh...anyhow, I'm not really sure how to do this, but there was a thread that asked the same question basically you are, so you can get even more ideas...best of luck to you and welcome!
