The sad thing is, I think that pic was -not- my highest. As I recall, I weighed around 265 at the time - so pack an additional 20 lbs onto that frame. Yikes.
I hadn't been able to see a difference until I looked at the pictures. Even I'm sort of shocked.
Wow, you look great! You've really made a lot of progress--I know that weightwise you might be only half-way to your goal, but you definitely look like you are more than halfway there. All that exercise must be really toning you up. Nice collarbones!
The collarbones are a fairly recent discovery - and its so sad, I look at them and/or touch them ALL THE TIME. These are the -only- pictures I have of myself with visible collarbones.
Glad you made the halfway mark. I passed that "mark" too this week... my big ticker is on the righthand side! Feels great to be on the downhill side, doesn't it?
Misti - our bodies seem to be paralleling eachother...first we both stalled at exactly the same weight, then we both got to the halfway point at the same time...I got a lovely visit from the *whoosh* fairy this morning, so heres hoping you get the same!
Barbara - being called toned is probably my favorite compliment. You just made my morning.
And Phantastica - I don't think I've ever been called stunning in my life. I'm starting to learn how to take compliments...so thank you!
Just realized something else (and I KNOW that some of you out there can relate to this....). My weight is now officially lower than the weight I listed in my drivers license (note that it took me 60 lbs to get to that point...LOL).
Thank you all so much for the support. I had a moment of "theres practically no difference, nobody can notice" low self confidence, then I came back here and read your great comments to reinspire myself. So now - off to the gym.
Wow, Congratulations. Nice job on the collarbones. I touch mine all the time too, first time I'd felt mine in 13 yrs. I also try to buy shirts that are lower in the neckline to show them off. Feels great. WTG.
