I gave myself a year. One year to get HEALTHY. While I truly feel I've reached that goal way before the year was up, I still have two weeks to go and am hoping to break through and reach my very ORIGINAL ORIGINAL goal of 145lbs (which by BMI standards says is what my weight should be for my height)....given I don't put too much stock in BMI esp because I have a decent amount of muscle as I was able to keep most of it instead of losing it all during weight loss.
I am a FIRM believer in weight training. In fact, I love it. I much rather weight train than do Cardio but HIIT works fine for Cardio, it's fast and helps define my legs. Which I am thankful for but man, I truly hope these next 15lbs come off of my thighs and belly!
Anyway, I wanted to post my so far progress pictures before those two weeks are up.
On Aug 16th I am hoping to have reached my goal of 145 (original goal). And my second goal of 135 by my 30th Birthday (Sept. 13th).

So embarrassed in fact that I had to cut out my face! That was me at 220.

For perspective, I was squeezing myself into size 16 jeans and wearing size 18 in dress pants. All shirts were XL or XXL. I even ended up buying a few 1X and 2X's! It was then I realized I had to make a change.
I kept a log of myself along my journey from Aug 16th 2010 until now:
This was one month after the start of boot camp and eating correctly.
That is me at 177lbs.
It was about at 160/158 here:
That I began getting comfortable with my body and although I continued to exercise, I stopped watching what I ate as much and kind of just enjoyed my body for like 4 entire months! Haha, while i didn't gain, I only lost a couple of pounds, over the past month I've been back on schedule in order to make my goals a reality.
Currently I am 149.8 and here is a picture from 2 days ago:
So, I hope that VERY VERY soon I will be able to post in the GOAL album at 135lbs!!! I will probably update this thread on August 16th once I make the goal of 145 =)
I just want to say THANK YOU 3FC and alll of you inspiring ladies!!
I will NEVER give up, and am hoping to reach them by Aug 16th and then 135 by my 30th birthday =) And if I don't? I will continue to push on and reach them. The only people who fail are those who give up!
As an aside for those interested, While I started at a 16 jean, 18 dress and XXL shirts, I am currently in a 6 jean (sometimes 4) and a 6 dress pant.
Weirdly enough, my shoe size also went from a 9 1/2 to an 8 1/2.
Shirts I wear are mediums. As well as work out pants and shorts are all mediums.
The ultimate goal is to be a size 2 or 4 in jeans and a small or medium in shirt.
