Thank you for the nice comments! I was a little hesitant to post pictures of myself online, but I'm glad I did. You all have made me feel so great. When I'm having a bad day and really feel like getting into some bad food, I come here and read all your posts and look at all your pictures, and it helps me get through. I need to start posting more often. Thanks again!

Can you imagine how many people will now be looking at YOUR picture and you will now be helping THEM get through? Because your transformation is AMAZING! All your hard work is shining through in those pictures. I am sure you will be inspiring thousands with those photos. Maybe more.
I applaud you big time for dealing with your weight issues when you are young. Waiting till I was in my forties to do so, is something I will always regret. But you my dear, won't have to.
Keep up the amazing work. I wish you continued success.
Thank you for the wonderful reply. I used to post on the 100lb forum, but I stopped some time ago. I've always enjoyed your posts.
I was always thin growing up, but I started to gain when I was 19. I will be 29 in a few days, so I spent almost 10 years of my life being heavy. I regret not doing something earlier, but what's done is done, and I just keep trucking along. I have had some bad days, but the difference is now I don't give up, and I just start fresh with my next meal. I tell myself that I come too far to just give up. It took me many years to realize that I can do this, but I'm here now.
Please share your secrets - to amazing weight loss AND great hair!!!
I just count calories. I cut out all pop and juice, and switched from white bread to whole wheat. I drink quite a bit of water and I try to eat six small meals a day. I eat a lot of chicken, fish, and replaced chips and cookies with fruits and veggies. I'm also pretty active with my kids and I do a lot of gardening and yard work. I really need to start doing some weights and walking a lot more, though.
My hair was horrible for many years, because I would bleach it so often. When I started to lose the weight in January, I actually started to care about myself and wanted to start taking care of my hair and skin. I went from blonde to brown and I started to use Redken Color Extend shampoo, Redken Heavy cream conditioner and Joico reconstructor, and then after I use my flat iron, I put some bedhead dumb blonde in to smooth it. I also get it cut every eight weeks or so. I also don't wash it every day, and I never blow dry, and try to use my flat iron only a couple times a week. It is so much healthier now.
You ladies are so wonderful! I really appreciate all your comments. I'm happy to be here with you all.

I can't believe you're 29 I thought for sure you were in your EARLY 20's - at most.
I know exactly what you mean - it took me many years to finally realize that I CAN do this. I didn't believe that I really could and therefore I never gave it much of a try. That's the one thing I always try to get across in my messages - that weight loss & a lot of it - IS doable. It's something that can be done - by anyone and every one.
And boy oh boy, you must certainly have done it.
EDITED TO ADD: Oh and thanks for the hair tips. You're hair is so pretty. I just may try some of those products you mentioned. You're a great advertisement!
