Unhappy Hair Loss?!

Has anyone else here experienced hair loss on this diet? I know we naturally lose hair everyday but this has been excessive for about a month and it isn't slowing down. The center said to take more oil and that hair loss is natural when losing weight. I'm about to sign up for 17 more weeks but I don't want to reach my goal and be bald for my picture! Any ideas?

When I started losing weight I found I was losing hair as well, apparently it's quite normal when losing weight to have increased hair loss, no matter what plan you're on. A bit worrisome when you first notice, but it's all good.

In my opinion, increase your flax oil and get your thyroid checked if you have not done that in the past year. Hair loss can be a symptom of both weight loss and thyroid problems.

I too have been worrying about hair loss. My hair is quite long so every morning I have a brush full, the drain in the shower, it's kind of scary. I am going to take your suggestions too Lori and see if that helps. I don't have a doctors appointment coming up but if there isn't an improvement soon, I might have to make one!

Thanks for the info guys as always!

It will even out. Absolutely. Eat healthy fats--olive oil, avacado, flaxseed, peanut butter, etc. I had extreme hairfall at one point--similar after giving birth--but it did slow down.

Wow... I was hoping that all the flax and healthy eating would keep that from happening. I have noticed this too, but I think for me the hair loss was worse when I did Atkins.
