I don't know a lot about fashion magazines but I can suggest some good stores to shop at. Anthropology and Free People are great if you want to get one statement piece, because they are kind of pricey but have incredibly unique clothing. An online store I love is shabbyapple.com because they have really pretty everyday dresses. Madewell, Ann Taylor and Gap also have very nice everyday clothing, I love them because the clothing lasts a long time and looks classy.

I wouldnt really look at the big fashion magazine. Most of the content is created throught marketing so the magazine is being paid to print those clothes. I would check out different fashion blogs, and just go with what you like personally. The clothes that will fit you best and look the best are clothes that you like and enjoy wearing. Be yourself!

Hi Diana. There is one I have always loved but it is more commercial than anything else these days (they all are) .. it is called "W". Back in the 80's when I was a teen it was fold out and Lucille Ball and other celebrities would pose in it .. the model Versace, Guess and others were awesome posters for my walls as a teen. I was a fashion lover. lol

Avalonmoon Thank you for the recommendation of "W". I think I recall seeing that one.

I have been trying to buy some new clothes for a cruise. Again, I'm not into fashion and I hate shopping. We have a store here called Dillard's. I went there a few weeks back and found out they have "personal shoppers". I worked with one for a couple hours one evening. They don't charge anything for this service. I explained about my weight loss and lack of knowledge about fashion. Come to find out, I know more than I thought about how to dress myself with my body shape, etc. We tried different colors and styles of clothing. This reinforced what we had discussed. I saw first hand that certain colors/styles look best. I ended up buying a dress that night for the cruise. I was thrilled.
