Default Mederma

Will this work on old, dark scars? I have an unnatural obsession with tweezing my chin for over 10 years and my chin is scarred pretty badly. I can't afford any treatments or surgeries and the such. I am just wondering if Merderma can help lighten the scars any?

I tried maderma for some chest scars and hated it, i spent almost 30 for it. try the vitamin E capsules first. prick one, and massage into the scars 2x a day. my scars after about a month were barely visible, and it made my skin really soft.

When I had my last knee surgery, it left me with a 13 inch scar. My surgeon said Mederma isn't worth it, and to buy the Vit E caps. Just make sure they don't smell funny when you open them. I'd like to think it helped some, but it certainly didn't make my huge scar go away. It's probably less noticeable than it would have been, but a scar that big is pretty obvious no matter what. The Vit E caps are cheap, so at least if they don't do what you want them to, you haven't wasted a ton of money.

onederchic, you could try silicone pads that can be placed on the skin for a while each day and reused. i think they have them at the drugstore. you could also try using something like retin a or something with a retinoid in it. good luck!

I haven't tried it myself but I know that my mother has used Vitamin E capsules for scars and stretch marks for a long time, and it works for her.
