Nothing. Nothing at all. Too wiped out to get to the gym at 5:45 AM and I needed to be in CT, and said yes to meeting people from the gym for dinner tonight at 6:30. This is the group I'll be running with on Sunday. So all those female athletes were the ones who prevented me from getting in my usual Friday lifting session & StairMaster work.
Nov. 21: back was BAD in Bikram. I had to alter several poses as I wanted to be extra careful. It feels a tad better now though.... not sure if I'll exercise today or not as dh will be coming home.

Nov.22: nothing. Dh came home and I used that and my back as an excuse not to workout. I survived though.

November 24: 100 minutes bikram yoga. Very good class but very full and stinky! A newer teacher that I quite like. Back is still bad though. I go back to the chiropractor tomorrow for my second visit.

Adductor machine
Tuesday, Nov. 26th:
30 minutes StairMaster, random intervals, resistance all over the place, as this model differs considerably from my home gym StairMaster

Nov. 25: 2 hours hiking/walking with a friend in the morning; 100 minutes Bikram Yoga in the afternoon
Lake effect snow squalls required me to shovel out my mother's driveway in the morning, and I decided not to participate after all in our village's annual Turkey Trot. I could've walked it, and enjoyed myself with people in turkey hats & waving pinwheels & pushing strollers, as a kind of peoples' parade through the place where I grew up. But I am not at that place yet. So I drove through a snowsquall on unplowed roads to the gym.
Where I did a 5K, deliberately slow at 4 mph, trying to concentrate on my form and maintaining an even pace. This was a training session, rather than a workout. I was trying to teach myself how to do something, not just to burn calories. My time was naturally more than 45 minutes. I've decided that's okay. I've decided that I ought to approach learning how to run with more humility. All my gym time apparently only helps just a little bit with this endeavor, namely, by giving me a decent cardio fitness base. At the mechanics and muscular memory and mental part of it, I'm a novice.
