Question Newbie: How do I figure out calorie allowance?

Hi everyone-

I've done the WW thing for so many years, but I get so bored with it! I want to try a lifestyle change by incorporating portion control/calorie counting with exercise. How do I figure out how many calories I should be consuming each day? Thanks for your help!

A great book for calories is called "Calorie Queens". It is really good. It is a mother and daughter who lost tons of weight together. They also have a web site. Also you might want to use www.fitday.com to count your calories. It is free to use.

Hi Tracy!
Nancy ...Tell us a little more about you. How tall are you? How much do you weight? What do you do all day?

Susan -

Hi there? How have you been? I've been going through TONS! But I finally found someone to help. I have anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. All of this was probably not helping me with weight loss at all! So now that I am taking care of those issues... I thought what a better time then now to get things rolling in all areas! So I am back!

I have been very well, thanks. In fact just lately, I've been great! Everything is just coming together very nicely. My food is good, my weight lifting is good. I'm still a bit of a slump about cardio but at least I do something most days. Yup, I'm feelin' good.
