Hi Lottie
I'm doing WW as well, not Slim Fast, but I have 84lbs to lose...

I still don't really have a buddy here... but then again I *am* on the other side of the world...

Default also from the other side

Hello Renée,

greetings from Germany. I am desperately looking for some Germans here, who are doing WW too. Have you met some??

This week I am so bored at the office, nothing to do, and all I can think of is to snack. Until now I can resist this and I hope I will manage the day without being week.
My weight ticker is waiting for good result but I lost only 1 lb the last 2 days (no wonder, I had too much cookies while sitting in a meeting).

I hope you are doing fine. May I ask you a question: I love to drink diet coke and eat sugar free chewing gum. In the last days my colleague told me, that eating this products will stop your body loosing weight. Is that true.

May be U can help me with an answer?

PS.: Now I am aaware of that I have to improve my english)

Susanne

Susi, to answer your question about the diet coke, it may hinder (hurt) your weight loss if caffeine tends to affect your appetite. If it stimulates your appetite (makes you hungry), then you should give it up, or switch to the caffeine free type. The reason why some people gain weight using artificial sweetner products is because they slip in these extra calories they are "saving" by using the sugar free products. Artificial sweetners have shown to have no physiological (physical) affect on weight loss, but they do have a psychological one. I've never heard anything about the gum though. I don't know, maybe gum stimulates appetite. I never chew any, so I don't know about the gum.

BTW Lottie, I love your avatar. Vintage and modern all in one! Very cool!
