Angry 1st week and trying to do this right

Im on my 6th day and its been hard. I woke up today bloated and don't know why. I used to be a big carb and sugar eater, so it's been difficult. I really underestimated how much food I shoul of bought. I cleary wasn't as ready as I thought. When will the hunger and cravings stop?

There is no way to lose weight without getting hungry. There is no magic diet pill or other that will stop you from getting hungry. Over the years of overeating your stomach size has increased--along with your brain demanding certain foods--and that's how it happens. They will stop, as soon as your brain gets used to your new eating habits, and your stomach shrinks.

It's tough at first--and that's why so many fail. No one likes to be hungry, it's an uncomfortable feeling. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel if you stick with your plan.

You might try adding a protein shake to your diet mid-day. or add protein powder to a smoothie. Sometimes I will drink 8 oz/s of skim milk with protein powder mixed in it. I will also eat a tablespoon of all natural peanut butter as a snack during the day to keep the hunger away. Also drink lots of water--as hunger is often confused with just being thirsty.

As far as sugar--I don't eat it--I use a 0 calorie substitute in coffee, and diet drinks during the day. I am fairly used to that, as I have been doing it for years--and a real coca-cola tastes weird to me now.

Next time you're hungry--try taking a walk around the block--or doing something you like to do without eating. Anything that takes your mind off of food. is a good thing. Hobbies that keep your brain and hands busy are a great way to forget about the hunger pangs.

If you have a smart-I phone--or android--there are calorie/carb free apps on those that are very helpful in tracking what you're eating during the day--and how much you need to eat to get to your goal weight.

Make a plan to get to your goal weight--and stick with it--and one day you'll be very happy you did.

Welcome and Good Luck.

The first few months are the hardest. Keep your goal in mind and you'll get through it!
