Default Lonely but hopeful!

Hello, new to the site!

I am a 27 year old suffering from boredom, loneliness, and being overweight! I moved to Iowa from Indiana about a year ago and have not really "found my place". I have recently begun seeking treatment for bulimia but still struggle with identifying myself with an ED and still being "chubby." Sounds trite or cliche, but I feel like I'm not "doing it right."
I am ready to reclaim my health and my happiness! As of 9pm tomorrow, I am one week smoke free and ready to kick my other vices as well! Looking forward to making some connections with you lovely ladies!

Hi The Greatie! Welcome! We all have some issue or other with food and unresolved feelings, so I am sure you will find lots of people to talk to. You deserve to be happy, so you have to do what is good for you and live the life you want. Best of lucks!

I battled Bulimia for a while. I know a lot of women who have. And, thing is, most bulimics aren't skinny. I don't think I ever got below 165. But I realized that killing myself was more scary than being fat. And I knew I was killing myself. And like you said-- not very effectively. Its taken me sometime to learn to love myself-- or at the very least attempt to. I think part of loving one's self if taking one's self out of environments that contribute to loneliness, boredom, or self loathing. Maybe that is something you can look towards.
