Hey everyone!!
I'm Melanie and I'm on a mission to get healthy!!

I don't have a lot of support from people, so I thought it would be a great idea to turn to some woman who are in the same boat as me!!!

I'm turning 30 this August, and some potentional health issues really got me thinking I need to lose some weight!!

My motivation/goal? I signed up to run in a 5K this August called "Color Me Rad"....yeah...a 5K...that's 3 miles of RUNNING...I'm lucky to walk that much at this point..lol

SOOO, the journey has begun. I've joined a gym here at work and am working with a personal trainer. I've started making more healthy eating choices...and trying to change in my head that food is not for comfort..it's fuel for the body.

So, I am anxious to get started and meet everyone!! Thanks so much!!!

Well since I haven't exercised in prolly 10 *GULP* years...I figured I get in shape a little with my trainer..than we are gonna start the C25K!

I am new here as well, and I know exactly how you are feeling! I really would like to lose about 70 pounds within the next year, and that amount just seems unfathomable to me!

I am doing the c25k in hopes that I can do a 5k race soon. That color me rad one looks fun! but too bad I didn't see any LA dates.
